The grinding surfaces are warped. When you run the grain through the mill it comes out in random sizes. I’m keeping it for penance.

Just got this today, was super excited but found out it was damaged.
Not only is the top grain holder damaged and bent, it also does not fit properly onto the grinder (as seen in first picture)

Love the device and overall it is worth more stars BUT, on first use had to replace the split pin used on the moving plate, it failed when grinding corn meal, easy fix however, replaced it with a solid pin. Secondly it needs a mudguard, literally. There is no cover over the grinding plates and therefore stuff goes everywhere. Again an easy fix, but would be better with this. I cut the prototype from an old takeaway container and will be shortly improving this with a piece of a peach can. Make sure your surface is rock solid, there is a lot of torque involved, but this grinds very good meal.

I like the huge hopper. I don’t like the fact that the hopper does not fit tightly on the mount. I lose grains through the spaces.

Needed something that would work without electricity. Use it for grinding wheat berries. Does not grind very fine. Even with adjusting it still gives a coarse powder. If you want a fine grind purchase something else. If you want something for when the grid goes down then this will get the job done.
