BUNN CSB2B Speed Brew Elite 10-Cup Coffee Maker, Black/SST

We bought this coffee pot wondering if we should’ve gotten the one with the timer so that we could set it at night for the morning. But it makes a full pot of coffee in four minutes, so there is no need to pre-program. The coffee is also consistently good, especially if you use filtered water. We got rid of our keurig because this made it basically pointless if you want to quickly make more than one cup of coffee at a time. It may not be the most attractive coffee maker, but it is for certain the best we have ever had.

I’ve been using Bunn Coffee Makers for 25ish years now. I liked the idea of what this had to offer that fixed the small issue of the older model. This on had a recessed burner and the pot can go on top and not slid around and is perfectly set under the canister to put the coffee INSIDE your coffee pot. The older model, not that is a huge deal, could slide around and not be lined up with the canister and then would leak the whole pot of coffee on your counter if you didn’t line it up. You only do that once or twice. I believe it happened maybe three time in the last 25 years.
This newer design seems to work just as good, only thing I still on the fence about, the drain tube is rubber or plastic and the old style was a medal tube and came with a spring rod to run into the tube to clear out the hard water buildup. We have well and hopefully I won’t regret getting this one.

This is probably the greatest drip coffee maker on the market right now. Just follow the initial set up instructions. The reserve water tank in the rear should be filled up to the top with purified water before turning the machine on to avoid damaging any of the internal components of the machine. The instructions will tell you to not even plug the machine in until the tank in the rear is full. One nice feature would have been the ability to drain the tank for moving the machine without having to turn it upside down but it’s not too much effort to do this. A water level indicator on the rear tank would have also been useful to avoid making a mess on the initial setup. For best results, use finely ground fresh beans and wait until the water in the rear tank is at maximum temperature before starting the brew and keep the warming plate turned off.

This is the first Bunn coffee maker we have owned. We have used other major brands for over twenty years. But, while on vacation we had the opportunity to use a Bunn to make coffee for a large group of people over several days. And we were sold. Upon arriving home and doing a bit of research, we purchased this “BUNN CSB2B Speed Brew Elite 10-Cup Coffee Maker” and have never looked back. It brews the coffee at the right temperature for the best flavor and it brews it fast (i.e., around four minutes)! The only drawback, if you can all it that, is that there is no way to set a timer to have the coffee ready when you wake up in the morning. This may be a small inconvenience, but from the research I have done, allowing your ground coffee to set in the open air all night robs the coffee of much of its flavor anyway. So, it is only a drawback if you are willing to give us a good bit of taste for a little bit of convenience. In addition to all of this, Bunn has a good reputation and provides a 3-year warranty. So, we look forward to it providing us with good coffee for many years!

I have had numerous Bunn coffee makers like this. Buyers beware: take out the coffee grounds BEFORE pouring the coffee. The drip from the coffee hopper will form a coffee film on the warmer, that eventually turns to crust and the warmer will then NOT keep the coffee hot. Also, unit has little or no light indicating the warmer is on, which is an improvement that Bunn needs to make. LARGE RED LIGHT THAT WARMER IS ON should be installed. Some models have a small light blue light for the warmer but it can barely be seen. Good coffee pot and it makes coffee fast but needs improvement on safety features.

Love it. Would like if it had automatic shut off button.
