Amazon Customer –
This is labeled as medium-dark roast but it’s very dark roast which I didn’t like.

I grind myself and use in my Keurig in reusable pods. This flat out makes good coffee. I like it dark and this matches my taste perfectly.
Amazon Customer –
The first couple order was ok taste but the next 2 orders has the good coffee aroma but tastes nothing like espresso coffee.

I don’t like long winded reviews. I like this coffee. Doesn’t taste burnt. No citrus flavors. I despise citrus taste in a coffee. Good price for organic.

Full, strong flavor & doesn’t make me all wound up! Other dark roast decaf coffees usually still have quite a bit of caffeine in them (like Pete’s organic decaf) or really aren’t a true dark roast and lack in flavor. This one doesn’t and it’s continually great!

Coffee is a matter of personal taste and preference. That being said, I liked the idea of organic, but the flavor was weak. We drink espresso every evening, and prefer grinding beans as we brew to get the freshest possible flavor from them. This coffee fell short. It doesn’t matter how much you use, the flavor is weak.
Espresso should be robust, this wasn’t.

I’m assuming I got a bad bag, because most of these reviews can’t be talking about the same stuff I received. I waited a couple weeks to open while I finished off the rest of the other coffee I had, but I wish I hadn’t. Upon opening they seemed very, very dry and brittle, but figured I’d give it a go anyway. After grinding them up, I made a couple cups in my regular drip coffee maker. It was extremely weak and watery, but burnt tasting. I decided to try again, with a little more grounds. All that did was enhance the burnt flavor, and it still was very translucent and nowhere near a ‘dark roast’. I also tried grinding some up a little courser and making cold brew. It was awful, the burnt taste so strong it tasted more like an ashtray than coffee. I threw out the bag they came in since it wasn’t resealable, but I know the roast date and expiration date weren’t anything too ridiculous or I wouldn’t have even opened it. I’m not sure how to reach out to the seller, or that they even would do anything about it since it’s been over a month since I bought them. Even though I’m guessing it’s just a bad batch, I probably won’t be trying them again.

I’ll admit that I didn’t catch that this wasn’t a darker coffee which is what we usually drink. However I’ve enjoyed the change. This has a distinct almost fruity smell to it. I still prefer the darker beans for my morning espresso, but this is an enjoyable round 2 in the afternoon. Definitely worth a try!
