I got on the grinding and measuring kick with my new coffee maker. I’ve learned that I don’t really care for African coffee beans, and some medium roasted South American varieties. I spent and wasted a lot of money chasing good reviews on Amazon. I came across Fog Chaser and read some reviews and thought why not. It turned out to be my favorite coffee bar none. I love it. It has smooth goodness with refreshing coffee taste, not some flowered jumbo crap from Africa. I guess I’m old school, I like my coffee to taste like coffee…simple! Black Rifle was the only close competitor, but when I found out the owner likes to kill beautiful animals, well they were quickly scratched off.
I highly recommend this coffee and I can assure you that I’m not a fake reviewer, or getting paid by the company.

Es un café para conocedores, no como las blandeces de tostado débil que toman los millenials ahora. Este café tiene toques de chocolate y cereza. No es ácido. Recién molido es de verdad, increÃble.
Lo preparo en AeroPress, prensa francesa, V90 y mocca. En cada caso es maravilloso.

I got the Fog Chaser this time, usually blending my own dark and lighter beans anyway, and they succeeded well in what they wanted.
The first breath is more French roast than espresso, though it has that too, and when brewed comes out in a soft, non-acidic middle–if you like dark. The fine dark blend with lighter beans supplies the “fog chaser”, a morning necessity for me. I tried others before this, including Amazon’s “Bold” dark roast, an acidic jumble of sheared metal cog ravage (I don’t know how they got it so wrong). Fog Chaser is salvation.
I’m not a coffee aficionado, chasing every whisper of flavor by bean, blend, and brewing technique. I use a simple French press to get the job done, and honestly haven’t had a good cup of cappuccino since the 70’s (as in NOT Starbucks). This blend works for me, even if it is surprisingly inexpensive.
As with all their blends, seal the original bag as tight as possible and place it in a well-squeezed plastic bag, then put it in a paper bag in a cool, dark place or other sealable container. Grind beans as needed or fill a small container.

This blend runs a very close second to my favorite San Francisco Bay coffee which is the Breakfast Blend.
I read somewhere that Fog Chaser is actually a mixture of the Breakfast Blend and the French Roast beans. The beans are a bit darker, with a beautiful sheen to them and grind very nice in my cheap electric grinder. It has a more roasted flavor than the Breakfast Blend and I enjoy it with a little cream and sugar. It delivers on its name and helps get me going in the morning. In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with San Francisco Bay Coffee.
Amazonian –
This tastes like the SF Bay companies version of starbucks only better. The beans are even black like premium brands. The blend is very bold and strong as I like it sometimes and you can taste it too not just a bag label gimmick. So far I’ve had fog chaser, Scandinavian bend and Columbian. This Scandinavian blend is more for special occasion, creativity or raw energy blend in my opinion. 2.5 coffee scoops of whole beans will make about half a pot of coffee or the 8 cup line.
