1. Portability
The first thing to consider when selecting a portable electric burr coffee grinder is its portability. Look for a compact and lightweight grinder that is easy to carry and transport. The size and weight should allow you to conveniently take it with you wherever you go, whether it’s to the office, on camping trips, or during travel.
2. Grind Settings
Check for the availability of multiple grind settings in the coffee grinder. This feature allows you to customize the coarseness of your coffee grounds based on your preferred brewing method. Look for a grinder with a wide range of grind settings, from ultra-fine to extra-coarse, to cater to different coffee brewing methods like espresso, drip coffee, French press, and more.
3. Battery Life
Since the grinder is portable and cordless, it relies on battery power. Consider the battery life of the grinder before making a purchase. Look for a model with a long battery life that can last through multiple grinding sessions on a single charge. A grinder with a fast charging feature will also be convenient, allowing you to quickly charge it when needed.
4. Ease of Use
Ensure that the grinder is easy to use with simple and intuitive controls. Look for a grinder with a one-touch operation for hassle-free grinding. Safety features like automatic shut-off when there are no coffee beans in the grinder are also important. The grinder should be easy to operate, even for beginners, without any complicated setup or instructions.
5. Cleaning
Consider the ease of cleaning the grinder. Look for a model that allows easy disassembly and cleaning of the grinding components, such as the upper chamber and container. The inclusion of a cleaning brush will also be helpful for removing any residual coffee grounds. Additionally, choose a grinder with a closed and transparent powder bin to prevent any leaks and keep your workspace clean.

Will grind super fine for espresso and a midway for the mocha pot. I have 2 hand crank ones and this preforms equally as well as my good one if not better. I really like that it’s timed out so it doesn’t run too fast and heat the beans! Ive gotten My only dislike is the plastic cup. It causes static and I tend to tap on the side of it slightly to let the grinds fall and it has come loose twice. 🙃 huge mess. I’m far more careful now and it works great. The charge seems to last a while.. at 8 grinds and it’s still charged. If there was a meter it would be perfect. Like the price point too. 8 outta 10.

I purchased this grinder for use in our RV, sometimes without electricity. I intend to use it for use with an Aeropress (grinds larger than espresso and smaller than drip) and pour over. Both of these grinds are not as demanding as some other brewing methods and I do not expect that it will grind for espresso.
This machine is slow. probably over a minute to grind 20 grams of coffee. I imagine that it is about as fast as a hand grinder. It will only hold about 20 grams of coffee at a time. I don’t think that this machine will last for years of constant use. These are the negatives about this grinder and I expected all of them.
Plusses. It has a stainless conical burr similar to most good consumer rated grinders. It will grind fine enough to make Aeropress coffee. I brewed side by side cups using a Barattza Virtuoso for comparison. After getting it dialed in, it produced results very similar to the Barattza. The grinder disassembles easily for cleaning and the grounds have a straight path to the collection cup so there should be no issues with clogging. A lot of grounds do stick to the bottom of the burr assembly and can make a mess if you do not manage it. I find that I brush the grounds off the burr assembly with the included brush into the collection cup after removing the collection cup from the assembly.
I ground over 250 grams of coffee on a single charge and the battery was still going so the battery life should be OK for my use.
I was not expecting a high end espresso grinder when I ordered this machine. It does what I expected and has a reasonable build quality for the price. I would recommend it.
Amazon Customer –
Can barely fit 1 oz of coffee into it. Extremely slow. To grind 1 oz of coffee takes nearly 2 minutes. My new coffee grinder takes 10 seconds. The quality of grind was good, but it seems like you have to disassemble and reassemble it a few times to get one grind. Fairly easy to clean. I returned it.

Works as advertised. Very easy to clean thoroughly. Easy to charge and charge will last quite a while. I recommend.

I was glad to find a relatively inexpensive and portable burr grinder that seemed pretty decently built.
After exactly one month of regular use, (two 15g grinds of coffee per morning) this grinder no longer holds a charge. I can barely get a single grind from a fully charged battery cycle – halfway through the grind, the motor starts struggling, the leds flash pink and the thing shuts off.
It seems it’s too late to get a replacement or a refund through amazon and efforts to contact the seller through Amazon sent me in a loop. I guess I got a dud… One more thing to heap onto the landfill.
My next grinder will most certainly be a manual one.

It’s an excellent product and an all-rounder, except for one thing, it has to be charged every 3 days after about 6 grinding.

Grind speed is laughably slow. Uneven results, and the grind adjuster is poorly marked and seemingly does nothing.

First mistake I made was trying to follow the instructions. I have a K-Cup Pod style coffee brewer and sometimes I use a pour over filter bag. I need coffee that is coarse. I couldn’t get anything out of this grinder that was bigger than dust. I tried turning the adjuster by hand counter clockwise (for larger grind) and it clicked a few times and stopped. I thought; Ok that must be as far as it goes. No. Still espresso very fine grind. I tried turning it again but it wouldn’t turn any further counter clockwise. I figure at this point I just bought a paper weight. I asked a question about setting the grinder and Lionel answered me quickly and helped me out. But, I still couldn’t get mine to turn any further to the left. Cue the pliers. I gently used them to turn the adjuster counter clockwise and finally it started moving again. I turned it until the adjuster was all the way out then back a click or two and now I have coarse ground coffee!
