This is our 2nd Mr. Coffee for our trailer. The coffee tastes just as delicious as our home coffee maker produces for a fraction of the cost. At home I want to program to have ready when I get up, Mr. Coffee is a perfect basic model. The voltage is low enough if we are camping off the grid and want to use our small indoor Eco Flow generator we don’t have any problem brewing.

Several days ago, while washing the dishes I dropped the coffee cup, which smashed into the coffee pot. Only the coffee cup survived. I waited 4 long days of no-morning coffee waiting for this to arrive. I am a senior with mobility issues who does not drive so its not like I could just run out an buy one. Once I received this, ran a pot of water through it, and finally made that pot of morning coffee – it was the best coffee I ever had and it was the best coffee maker that ever existed! I now leave the coffee pot on the counter and when all the other dishes have been washed and the sink is empty, only then do I wash the coffee pot. Its pretty basic, which is what I wanted, no bells and whistles, very easy to use. The cord is kinda short but that’s ok by me as when its not in use its easy to tuck the cord behind it. It does have a little cubby hole to put the cord into to but its easier to just to hid it behind the coffee maker. If I had to I would buy again.

1/5/23 I haven’t even set it up yet! I just opened the package and was very gently and carefully removing the plastic wrap around the coffeemaker. When I removed the plastic from the top, the lid INSTANTLY fell off! I figured, OK, it must snap right back on, right? Nope! There’s no way to attach it back on. The little parts don’t align and there’s no way to slide them in place from the side. I’ve tried from every direction to see if I can put the tiny little protrusions back in the tiny holes but I couldn’t do it. I just called Mr. Coffee customer support but of course they’re closed.
1/8/23 UPDATE: Well, my construction guy neighbor was able to get the lid back on, but he told me he did have the bend outward the top part of the coffeemaker (because the allowed space was so tight) to reattach the lid.
OK, so now I’ve got a coffeemaker. And it seems to work fine!

This coffee maker makes pretty good coffee. The problem is that it doesn’t have an automatic shutoff. I wasn’t careful in ordering it, or I would have seen that only the programmable version has the auto shut off. That’s on me, so three stars instead of one. On the other hand, machines like this are so bad that I can’t give it five stars either, even though it does make pretty good coffee. Mr. Coffee makes a thousand different models. Just make sure you get one with the features you want. (Some reviewers apparently like this, saying they’re annoyed when the coffee pot switches off automatically. I don’t know what they think when they return from a weekend away that one time they forgot to switch it off. But clearly the solution that would satisfy everyone is an on-off switch to activate the automatic shut off if you want it. Those who prefer to have their coffee burn down into the glass of the carafe on occasion could just keep that feature switched off.)

Mr. Coffee is a simple, easy to use device for a quick making of hot water or coffee. There are no programming panels, no connection to the Internet, no computer chips at all! Just a simple way to pour up to 12 cups of water into the reservoir, put the beaker under the spigot and just turn the switch on. You can take the beaker out at any time during the process as there is a leak-proof spigot that stops when you remove the beaker. Easy, simple, and 12 cups of hot water (or coffee if you want) quick, easy and NO computers!

I’m visually impaired so wanted a simple coffee maker that makes good coffee. This seems to fit my needs and I’m pleased with my purchase. The coffee maker was delivered safely and was up and running the next morning. I like white coffee makers because it is easier for me to pour the water into the reservoir without spilling so I appreciate the white option. The machine is easy to clean, understand and work, and the coffee is good. I also purchased some filters, which is good for me because I don’t enjoy oily coffee. This brand has been has been around a long time and I think their products explain why. Thank you!

As a one button manual coffee maker, it’s great for seniors who struggle with unecessary gadgetry. I bought it for my parents to replace a well used older version of the same model. However after less than 2 months the on/off switch stopped working and I had to purchase another replacement. Im hoping this one holds out longer.

The classic design cannot be beat. I have been putting this machine through it’s paces for 6 years, and it has not disappointed. It is easy to use and nigh indestructible.
I purchased it because my last coffee maker was digitally controlled. Well, when the chip started to go, it wouldn’t even stay turned on to brew. This machine, without the digital control, just turns on, and then brews.
One downside; it is a little tricky to clean the reservoir. However, a little bit of white vinegar run through once or twice every few months keeps the internal pumps clean and the coffee tasting good.
Seriously, this has been one of the best appliance purchases I have ever made.
The easy design also makes it super easy to self-repair. Some coffee grounds got into the pump, ruining the machine. I was able to easily repair it in an hour myself. In a world where everything breaks immediately and cannot be repaired, I found this ability to be a massive plus!

Got this because my older pot dribbled and I lost the filter paper holder. I only use this when I have guests and need a pot. Didn’t want any bells and whistles . My old pot dribbled and made a mess. Reviewers said this one doesn’t dribble, and they are right!! PS, remember it does NOT have auto off. So I recommend you get one with auto off if you use it daily and may forget to turn it off.
