Coffea is better then most. For the price and the amount they give you . It’s a really good buy. The French roast had a nice smooth dark finish taste. I grinded it up and used in a regular coffee maker. I used 1 table spoon per cup of coffee. I would recommend this coffee to anyone. Will be purchasing more in the future.

I find the best way to brew this is to set the espresso machine grinder on the finest setting. I keep it stored in airtight containers. Five pounds is very economical. It’s not as dark or oily as I’m used to, but has its own unique flavor. It’s not bitter like some other French Roast I’ve tried.

I am only giving this 4 stars because the coffee blend has changed. I have bought the French roast and Italian roast from this company in the past and the beans were a very dark color – and had that oily shine and the coffee was great! And now the last 3 bags I have purchased are…a mixed roast? No oily shine, some beans are dark, some are a brown color. The coffee is just ok, but not what I have gotten in the past. I order 2 bags at a time so I thought maybe the last one was just a mix up – it happens, but then the next order months later was the same…We opened the Italian Roast bag first – dark beans and brown beans, I haven’t opened the French roast bag but I am expecting it will be the same. Not sure why the company has changed this product. I am a little disappointed. I want the dark oily shiny roast we had in the past from this company that made a great cup of coffee…
