Grounds stick the bottom and I have to scape it off.

It seems to work with coffee beans and spice grinding even though it says not to use for spice grinding. But it does not say why not, because most spices are as hard as or less harder than coffee beans. I tried cinnamon and black pepper. It works perfectly fine. The one good thing about it is it is solidly built and heavy. The other plus point is that the cord can be manually wound up and mostly concealed under it except for the wall plug.

So far, does the job fine. Time will tell… Don’t like the fact that the lid is loose. It doesn’t snap or attaches to the base. You havr to hold it doen until you see is well grind.

I ordered a bag of ground coffee online, but it was accidentally sent to me as whole bean. Instead of returning it, which would have been a pain in the butt, I decided to buy a grinder. The fact that this one was cheap and seemed easy to use, held much appeal, since it was my first experience grinding my own coffee.

It is indeed easy to use. I didn’t have to look at the directions much to figure out how it works. But some experimentation might be needed for a person to figure out how finely they want their coffee grinded.

I’ve only had it for a few weeks, so I can’t comment on if it is built to last. But it was cheap, and you get what you pay for, so I don’t expect it to work forever. It suits my needs for the time being, which is good enough.

The only downsides is that the cord doesn’t want to stay wrapped around the bottom, so I’ve given up on trying to make it do that. And it only grinds a small amount of coffee. I have a 6 cup coffeemaker, and it’s just enough to make a pot. But you would probably have to grind more than one batch for a larger coffeemaker. And it would take a long time to grind all of the beans in a 12 ounce bag at once. I don’t have the patience for that, so I just grind what I need to make a pot.

The noise it makes doesn’t bother me, but I am not an early riser, so I don’t have to worry about waking other people up in my household while making coffee. It could be a nuisance for people who live in shared living spaces that are small though. It only takes me a few minutes to grind the amount I need, so the noise doesn’t last for too long.

I am happy with the product, and the coffee I’ve grinded in it tastes really good. But I will splurge on artisanal brands, so the fact that the beans are supposed to be high quality, affects the taste as well. It does seem a bit fresher than coffee that is purchased already ground, but I don’t think it is a huge difference.

So yeah, I recommend this product to other novices, and people who aren’t too particular about how their coffee is made. It’s not the kind of thing a barista would like, especially since it doesn’t have different options for how you can grind your coffee. You just hold the lid down until it looks grinded enough, or at least that’s what I do. I haven’t given up on buying coffee that is already ground, but it is nice to have the option to buy whole bean if I feel like it.

It gets the job done.
Only issue is it does get warm really fast and has cooked my coffee beans a little bit and they get stuck to the bottom so you need to shake it as you’re using it to avoid that but if you’re just doing a little simple batch then it works great. Just not larger quantities.
