After only a little over a month the bottom fell out of the pitcher when I put the ice in it and set it on the base to make tea. Really liked the pitcher and tea maker but was so disappointed in the quality of the pitcher.

I dislike that the lid sometimes does not close all the way and the lid on the pitcher doesn’t seal so you need to hold it while serving tea

This appears to be a generic version that many different brands put their label on, and the only difference is that this one is over $20 cheaper at the price it is currently selling (under $40). I’m two brews in and it has worked find to replace my old mr.coffee unit. Wanted to go with a glass pitcher because of the way the old plastic pitcher would stain, and was very difficult to clean out and remove the brown all over. The pitcher is extremely thin glass, and I am questioning how long it will last, but feel good that I spent less for the same unit and will look around for a replacement pitcher that fits. Someone mentioned a Costco pitcher being used, but I haven’t looked yet. Plastic top is very thin too and as others have mentioned, warps over time.

I live in Phoenix and drink a lot of iced tea. In the past I have had 2 Mr Coffee iced tea makers. They made good tea but the plastic pitchers always cracked eventually. So, this time I went for a glass pitcher. Just like the other reviewers who were displeased with the quality of the glass (thin and fragile) I’m NOT A HAPPY CAMPER WITH THE PITCHER. My solution? Getting an IKEA glass pitcher to use with it.

The tea maker makes great tea but the other reviews are right in that the glass is cheap and cracks very easily. You’re okay if you’re like me and have a leftover glass pitcher from another tea maker.

Easy to use. The brew strength slide button doesn’t seem to stop at all the selections. But I leave it on the same one so no biggie. I use less teabags with this brewer. I love the size of the glass pitcher. The top hinged lid, pitcher lid and brewer basket could have been better quality. For the most part I am satisfied.
