Bought this for my Breville espresso machine. This product worked great, it is very easy to use and intuitive, that said the instructions were very basic images so I think perhaps they could add a bit more detail.

But again, very easy and helped get my espresso machine working smoothly again

This is a quick and effective way to clean espresso/ French roast residue out of a grinder. The instructions are a bit sparse; I threw a few coffee beans through after cleaning to clear the (non-toxic) dust from the grinder.

I got lazy and kept forgetting to disassemble my OXO coffee grinder to clean it out until this morning when barely any ground coffee came out the chute. Coffee emergency! Luckily I didn’t have to work. Whew! Half awake I set about brushing and scraping all the packed ground coffee dust/fragments I could off the bur and up the chute and the part that goes over the bur and lifts out. Exasperated at the mediocre results for all of my hard work (not to mention the mess it made), I suddenly remembered I had bought these on a whim not knowing if I’d ever use them. One capful was all it took. They dislodged all of the remaining bean fragments and stuck on residue from the oily beans. I ran a small amount of beans twice through before using again and of course wiped out the remaining powder it left. Let me tell you that these really do work. My coffee tasted so much fresher after using these. I haven’t used an Urnex product I haven’t liked so far honestly. If you’ve got a coffee grinder, you might as well give it a shot. I was amazed what came out and how effectively it cleared out what I couldn’t. I definitely recommend these.

Das Granulat ist super und macht was es soll, allerdings finde ich es völlig überteuert und im Vollautomat endet es in einer riesen Sauerei – also nur im Zuge einer Grundreinigung machen!!

Laut Anleitung soll man es ja auch nur mahlen lassen und dann abbrechen, da es nicht zum Brühvorgang kommen darf / soll. Allerdings presst meine DeLonghi grundsätzlich und bricht erst dann ab. Es lässt sich NICHT zur Tablette pressen, dafür klebt es wunderbar. Entsprechend schmeißt er klebriges Pulver aus und die Maschine braucht dann eine Grundreinigung – inkl. des Siebes der Brüheinheit.

Ich habe nach der Reinigung locker 5 Kaffee durchlaufen lassen und weggekippt, sonst schmeckt der Kaffee noch nicht wieder. Danach jedoch kein Vergleich zu vorher und der Kaffee schmeckt wieder anständig!

This venerable product is becoming harder to find these days, but Amazon came through. Exactly right for cleaning high quality coffee grinders with a minimum of debris.

For approx 10 cleanings, these are a great deal & keep the grinder clean and the shots consistent.

I got a 6 pack of individual cleaning doses with my grinder when I purchased it. After they were out, I didn’t restock. A year goes by – four or so cleanings – without Grindz. Cleaning is getting harder with more oil, chaff that won’t dislodge and more retention.

I purchase these for less than a 4 pack of doses. I grind these through before I clean – the chaff is near black. The cleaning was much easier though, little retention and much less oil. The grinds are much more consistent and, perhaps only in my head, the grinder sounds happier. Well worth the price.
