Works great. I little noisy but worth the price.

Grinds the beans but it’s extremely loud.

Coffee grinder works. Grinds most of the beans you put in it (not all). Not to easy to clean – as coffee tends to stick to the side of the grinder. Best thing going for this grinder – if you need a grinder and you are on a budget. Over rating: Just OK.

Once you figure out the few things which are omitted or placed badly in the instructions, this manual grinder is actually amazing!
What they don’t tell you in the manual or, an important note that should be in the ‘Caution’ section:
1) DO NOT TURN THE GRIND SELECTION DIAL CLOCKWISE “MUCH”. Apparently it will damage the internal parts
2) Before selecting the desired grind, gently turn the selector dial COUNTER clockwise a full turn. Then set your desired grind and test with beans. If you are just grinding away and only get a few granules in the bottom catch section, repeat by gently turning the grind selector dial COUNTER clockwise another full turn.
3) DO NOT TURN THE GRIND DIAL CLOCKWISE “much”…
4) Must test with coffee beans or something, anyway. The empty grinder will not engage.
After returning the first grinder I received because it simply spun without grinding anything, the replacement grinder arrived promptly and to my astonished disbelief, it too wouldn’t put out any ground coffee – the crank handle just spun!. I employed the same troubleshooting method as with a salt grinder I recently bought. See, the dial acts as a control for the grind aperture – if it’s too far ‘closed’ (too fine) nothing or very little will come out of the bottom and what you have still in the chamber will mostly just ‘stir’, not really grind. It relies on gravity so if you aren’t getting any ground coffee but you know it’s sort of grinding, this is why. The chamber acts as a hopper as long as the ground stuff drops out of the bottom of the grinder. Hence, you need to gently turn the selector dial COUNTER clockwise just one full turn (seemingly more coarse) and then test again. I had not yet returned the ‘faulty’ grinder, so I did the above and… Lo and behold it performed fabulously!
With all that said, it’s a very nicely made grinder. Heavy, solid and sleek, with a very attractive wooden knob on the crank handle. I found that it grinds very well (once you know the trick) however it’s probably best to dedicate it to grinding just one thing, whatever that is for you because it is difficult to clean, given that it is not serviceable by the user.
The customer service is outstanding, if you have any problem they will take care of it.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GRINDER if you are in need of a manual one. I also highly recommend that the user guide be amended to include these little tidbits of vital information!

I got this to grind up my herbs. I’ve always had one I gave mine to my daughter to do something and she screwed it up somehow, so I needed another one. She bought me one that was for herbs, it is about 2 inches in diameter which was funny. I love this perfect size I use ground up dried vegetables as seasoning on my food. This is just perfect.
