I purchased this grinder and used it for about 3 weeks before returning it to Amazon. I loved the look of this grinder and many of its features, but I became frustrated with it because the coffee beans do not consistently feed from the hopper into the mouth of the grinder while the grinder is running. If one puts only a small amount of coffee beans into the hopper this does not seem to be a problem. But when I put a larger quantity of coffee beans (say about 3 or 4 oz) into the hopper the beans get stuck and stop feeding from the hopper into the mouth of the grinder. This is not supposed to happen because the height of the beans in the hopper is maybe less than half of the MAX line near the top of the hopper. There is a small hood located at the bottom of the hopper that I believe is supposed to prevent a popcorn affect of beans being shot up from the mouth of the grinder and that is also intended to prevent the weight of the beans above it from pressing down to hard and clogging the mouth of the grinder. There is a small space between this small hood and the bottom of the hopper that is wide enough to allow the coffee beans to slide down on through from the sides of the bottom of the hopper into the mouth of the grinder. However, when starting the grinding, the beans initially flow into the mouth of the grinder for a few seconds, but then get stuck and stop feeding into the grinder The motor continues to run but the sound changes to a higher pitch one would hear if there were no coffee beans in the hopper. The work around I found for this is to remove the top of the grinder and stir the beans in the hopper with my fingers so the beans can continue to feed into the grinder mouth without getting stuck in the hopper. That enables the coffee beans to start feeding into the grinder again. I am considering purchasing another one of these grinders because I am not sure if my grinder was defective or if this is an engineering design flaw with this model. I tried to call their customer support line in the US but found these people were not that technically knowledgable about the grinder. I asked the customer support person if they had ever used this grinder and they said no. They said they would send an email describing my concern to their back office support (in China) and they would get back to me within 24 to 48 hours. So I feel their customer support has room for improvement as well. I am hopeful I will get information that says this grinder should not have this kind of problem, as I really liked the grinder’s other features and felt happy with the quality of the ground coffee.

I think this is a great value for the price. It’s so much easier to make my coffee with this machine. I love it! The only thing I don’t like and had to get used to is the touch screen. I kept accidentally hitting the button that makes the coffee come out and wasting coffee.

First of all, the company has excellent customer service. If you are not satisfied, they will make it right.

I like this machine and really wanted it to work for my need, which is grinding espresso only. I love the option to grind for a specified time. Also, the bellow at the top of the bean hopper makes cleaning residual grinds a breeze. Just press it a few times and they all fall out, so you know you are getting fresh grinds every time.

It grinds very nicely, but simply wasn’t fine enough for me. I was able to pull an espresso shot with it set at the finest setting, but it does about an oz of espresso in shorter than 20 seconds and there is no finer adjustment left to fine tune the shot. If you use a pressurized portafilter basket, this would work fine. Also, it’s great for other types of brews like drip. It’s well built and designed and I expect it to last a while.

El molino funciona de maravilla y es muy fácil de usar. Para mí mala suerte el recipiente inferior llego quebrado y no puedo saber la razón. Por suerte lo puedo sustituir por una taza normal u otro recipiente y dado que el molino funciona muy bien le doy esta calificación.

Acabo de recibirla, busqué el manual en PDF en el sitio web de shardor pero no aparece el modelo, es más, no hay ningún modelo con control electrónico, me parece sumamente extraño

 The Shardor grinder makes a fine espresso grind for my DeLonghi coffee/espresso. I have the grind set to #4 espresso setting. The DeLonghi portafilter is a basket type and not as high pressure as professional espresso machines . So I keep the grinds a little larger. The portafilter is also smaller so I reduce the time down to 7.2 seconds. Still, with a good espresso coffee, the DeLonghi makes a nice espresso using this grinder. I like how I can make a single grind for a shot by using the portafilter adapter rather than pre-grinding a batch. The only difficulty I had was in getting the adapter to fit the Delonghi portafilter. The Shardor unit comes with 2 portafilter adapters. The DeLonghi portafilter is too small for the large one and too large for the smaller one. It would not reach the trigger button on either adapter. However, I was able to trim the sides of the smaller adapter to make it larger for my portafilter. I also added a small plastic anchor to the trigger to extend it so my portafilter will start the grind. After my changes the small adapter now works like a charm. It would be nice if the unit came with more adapters. When I consider the price of the grinder to the price of standard espresso grinders, the Shardor gives me a great value. I remove one star because I had to rework the adapter.
