This is very good coffee and brews beautifully in my Keurig. My husband likes the Breakfast Blend, and I can also attest to the good, rich flavor of their darker blend coffee.
I did have both this and the Breakfast Blend on subscription, happy to have a good quality coffee with pods that are compostable, but cancelled it this morning after finally noticing that the pods are only Commercially compostable. That fact is clearly marked; I simply wasn’t paying attention. I am looking for a pod I can toss in our backyard compost bin. If I can’t find one that is as good as this, I may return and just keep collecting the used pods and making a run to the solid waste facility.
I am giving this item 5 stars, because it is very good coffee, and that is what is most important.

This brand of coffe has to be the best I’ve ever tried. Not only does it comes in many flavors but they also make several variety boxes so you can test them all!
Best part about it is the SMELL!
My gosh, just opening the punches of coffee pods instantly brings a smile to your face. They should make an air freshener out of it!

I have several coffee brands I like, and when it’s time to resupply I usually buy whichever one is on sale. San Francisco Coffee Company is on my list. I enjoyed all the varieties I got, especially Fog Lifter. The pods are different from the typical Keurig-type pods but they work perfectly in my coffee maker, and the materials are plant-based, not petroleum-based plastic, if that matters to you. But they, and the bags they come in, are compostible only in commercial facilities.

I’m in a part of the country served by Ingles grocery stores and was a fan of their “Ingles Best Donut Shop” coffee pods. The Ingles pods were different from other brands: they were made of a mesh material instead of the traditional plastic cup. Great mellow coffee taste and better for the environment because the pods are more biodegradeable, plus reasonable cost. During the worst of the supply chain mess, for months I could no longer find this coffee. When it finally reappeared, it was different. No longer in mesh pods, it’s now in traditional plastic cups like most other brands. The taste has noticeably changed. Now it’s a watery, lifeless mess. I think maybe the mesh pods simply gave a better brew, so I began to search for an alternative brand which uses the mesh. Voila!! Enter San Francisco Bay Donut Shop!! It’s great tasting and comes in…. mesh pods!! Each morning I set my Keurig on a 12 Oz brew, hit the “Strong” setting, and the result is perfect for my taste. Flavorful but not too strong. Buhbye Ingles, hello San Francisco Bay. My taste buds are doing a happy dance.

I do not drink coffee however my husband and adult children do and they say the flavor of the coffee is very good. I was happy to find one use coffee pods that were compostable and a great flavor. Also the price is very affordable. Ad for those who say after you open the bag and there is not a way to reclose for freshness, I solved that by keeping a lock tight jar next to our coffee machine. I drink tea and I use one for my single use tea bags because I didn’t like all the packaging of other teas. Just trying to do my part for Mother Earth.

Each flavor of coffee is packaged in its own plastic bag. The problem is that once opened, there’s no way to close it. To keep the pods fresh you either have to use the bag it comes in and close it with whatever, rubberband, or put it in a whole new bag. It’d be really nice if they would make it self closing. These are not in a plastic pod; it’s material so it has to be in something to keep it fresh. The variety of coffee is really good if you can handle a bold medium flavor which apparently I can’t. It makes me have acid reflux so I canceled my subscription.

This has been my favorite decaf coffee for years- I’ve truly never found a better one. However the last couple of boxes I’ve gotten have had major issues with breaking open and getting coffee grounds in my cup, or sometimes worse, bursting and overflowing out the top all over my counter. I’m so frustrated by this! Sometimes it bursts out the seal on top, and other times there are thin spots in the bottom filter portion and it breaks open. SF Bay, PLEASE fix this issue and go back to what you were doing before, as I never had this happen before in my many years off ordering. Something changed in your materials or your manufacturing process, and it shows.

I’ve been buying various blends of coffee from this company for several years and the quality of the coffee is very good, but with this latest purchase I have had to throw away about 50% of them because the top of the pods collapse when brewing using certain Keurig coffee makers, even with the adapter ring supplied by the company. I suspect these pods are just old and don’t have enough rigidity to brew correctly. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to get a refund on these even though I’ve been a loyal customer for many years.
