I love this jug – I put 15 – 16 tablespoons of medium ground coffee and 40 ounces of Brita filtered water in the jug and put it in the refrigerator overnight. By morning, I can pour my coffee into a nice glass with some ice and a dash of cream. So delicious! Beats paying full price for coffeehouse cold brew every day! The jug cleans up very well, and

Soy primeriza en la preparación del cold brew, así que busque una cafetera que fuera de buena calidad pero económica, esta jarra cumplió con mis expectativas, es muy fácil de manejar y aunque el cristal es un poco delgado, es muy resistente, es fácil de lavar y ocupa muy poco espacio en el refrigerador (es de 1.5 L).

I don’t get the negative reviews – I LOVE this for making cold brew coffee. My tips:
1. If it is taking you FOREVER to get the water to initially seep through the coffee into the pot, then you are most likely using coffee grounds that are TOO FINE for cold brew! You want to use a COURSE GROUND coffee! I really like the Bizzy Cold Brew Smooth and Sweet coffee. Don’t be misled by its name – it has NO sweetener added to it – the name just refers to the coffee’s flavor profile…
2. Even though this pot says that its parts are dishwasher-safe – HAND WASH everything. All parts wash quickly with warm water and a little dawn dish soap!
3. To make the coffee, I put the grounds into the filter area in the pot, add room temperature water, put the lid on and let it sit on the counter for about 5-6 hours. I take a table knife from my silverware drawer and stir the grounds around (within their filter area) a couple times during this initial 5-6 hour soak. Then, put the pot into the frig and let it soak there overnight. After about 8-9 hours in the frig I take it out, stir the grounds around again with the table knife (within the filter area), let it sit for a few minutes and then lift up the filter. Hold the filter over the coffee, tilting it a little to let as much liquid as possible drip out from the filter into the coffee. I think I tilt the filter and balance it against the pot over the coffee to let it drip that way for about 5 minutes…. Then take the filter all the way out. I dump the grounds onto a plastic tray and let them dry out – then give them to a gardener!.
4. As soon as you have dumped the grounds out of the filter, unscrew the bottom cap and rinse out the filter! Then rub a couple drops (you don’t need much) of dawn blue dish liquid between your thumb and index finger and then use those fingers to rub the soap all around on the filter – inside and out. This takes only a minute or two and gets it totally clean! Rinse well and let it dry…. It gets totally clean this way with no staining!.
5. I immediately transfer the coffee out of this pot into a borosilicate glass pitcher for storing in the frig.
Then, HAND WASH this blue pot, with just a couple drops of dawn dish detergent. It only takes another minute to wash, rinse and invert to dry. Easy, totally clean and ready for the next use when the coffee starts to run low.

Seems to be okay, so far. For those who are wondering what the ratios are with this – the internal filter can hold 115g of coffee grounds (with a little space on top), and 1.35L of water brings it to close to the top (so the grounds are almost fully immersed, but not quite). The ratio I like for full flavour is 100g coffee to 1L of water (this is strong). Here, 115g of coffee needs 1.15L water. In order to get the water near the top and almost fully immerse the grounds, I had to add 1.35L. So pretty close. Let’s see how it tastes. UPDATE: tastes great. Really strong

I love this pitcher! It is the best for making cold brew coffee and tea with different infuse fruit &, spices. It’s very easy to use and clean. Excellent filter and easy to clean our. When making cold brew coffee. There’s a cap on the end of the filter that unscrew to empty out the used coffee ground or tea leaves and or infused items. It’s very strong and durable. It’s easy to clean up after each use. The container is a strong glass surrounded by some type of plastic/ palmer. Very good price. I’m so happy I bought it.

I love the taste of coffee. It makes me happy. But when you live in a climate that can get up to 120f during the summer, a hot cup of joe just won’t do. I have tried pouring freshly brewed coffee over water but that tends to make the coffee bitter and watered down. I’ve looked into the cold brew process before and most of the DIY processes seemed to be more cumbersome than I needed. I saw this cold brew maker on Prime Days and thought I’d give it a shot. It is exactly what I needed. Easy to use. Easy to clean. And helps make the perfect cup of cold brew coffee. I will probably buy another one of these so I can make cold brew regular in one and cold brew decaf in the other… for those late night coffee cravings!

If you like cold brew/iced coffee this is a great tool to have. I can make atleast 5-6 glasses of cold brew for the week. Best to steep coffee at room temp for 24-48 hours and it has the best taste.

I used to (sometimes) make cold brew by steeping and straining. But honestly, I usually just bought it because it was a pain in the ass to make and clean up after. This is so easy to use and clean. I was torn between sizes when looking at cold brew pitchers. This fits nicely in the fridge and makes enough for me to take my morning coffee for 2-3 days. You might want something bigger if you will have multiple people hitting it each morning, but this size is good for one person. Also very cute, which I’m a sucker for. Everything comes out tasting great, even cheapish coffee.
