Grinds into powder too fine for me and I haven’t found a way to adjust but I could be wrong. The bottom is very loose so you have to hold it or the powder will spill. The residue gets everywhere when you open compartment but they did include a nice brush to dust it off. Takes a while to grind for me.

This is a good product and it looks nice. I have nothing bad to say about it. Word to the wise though: once the novelty wears off, you might get tired of manually grinding, if you are drinking more than one coffee a day.

I was very excited to find a wooden coffee grinder, and it actually does the job. The problem with this one from POLIVAR is that the part where the ground coffee falls does not have a secure lid, and you have to hold it so that it does not open and the coffee falls out. This is too uncomfortable.

I found the grind to be very consistent. Out of the box the grinder is set to the finest grind, but that’s easily adjusted. The only thing I might say as a negative is that the bean chamber isn’t set up to easily funnel beans into the grinder. It’s a flat bottom, so beans don’t funnel down into the grinder – they lay on the flat bottom. That’s a small thing, though – the other aspects of the device work VERY well. You need to hold on to the grind chamber tightly while grinding. The size of the bean chamber is quite large, so holding on to it can be a bit of a challenge at first. I found that by placing the grinder on a towel made it somewhat easier to grind a batch.
All-in-all – I thought this grind device worked quite well. I highly recommend it.
Bottom cracked after first day. –
This is really cool. It’s so easy to grind my own beans now. It’s cheaper to buy the whole bean. Can you believe that this fits in my cupboard and is hidden? It’s the right size for that. I can handle this much better than a large one. It is light weight from the wood It’s made from. It gives a fresh taste because of the fresh grind. When I am done it is so simple to clean from the brush that is provided in the kit. I like the long spoon too because I can guide the beans in easier through the top hole. The bottom just pops off to put the grinds in the filter. For some reason in the back of my mind it performs better that I can choose the size of the grinds I want by adjusting the screw on top. So far this is the best coffee bean grinder I ever had.
