Brewing coffee takes time and patience. Time to get the filtered water to the right temp – time to let the ground beans steep and bloom – and time to get a good grind. This grinder is exactly what you are wanting from coarse to very fine. Yes – manually grinding your beans takes a bit longer giving you far more control of the quality of your brew as a result. It took a few turns to find my setting for my French Press to get the right extraction, but once it’s set it’s set. I have used other manual grinders that did not lock in place correctly, were wobbly and weak (the crank arm bent on first use), and didn’t have a quality burr grinder cone. This grinder is well made, quite sturdy and effective. I would like to see a separate cover / lid to store the ground beans if I don’t use them all – but it has the capacity I need for my daily brew and gets it done within a few minutes whilst my water is heating so I am getting the freshest brew possible and not exposing the ground coffee and ruining the overall experience.

I think this has just replaced my current manual grinder for home use. The copper-colored accent gives this a nice appearance.

middle of the road quality and Amazon shipping took forever. Loving “Prime” shipping that takes over 14 days.

The unit looks nice, matches my French press, but once I started looking at how to adjust the grind the directions on the advertisement said simply click to your grind, and when you look at it it looks like there is a spring on the stem and it is simply just that clicking to whatever grind you want. However when I got the unit it is not simply clicking and they’re literally is no click. You have to take it apart and what you think is going to make a click is a retaining clip that you have to remove and screw the nut up and down on the shaft for the grinding wheel and then put it back together to see what you got is a grind, then if you’re not happy with your grind you have to take it all apart again and figure out which way to go. It’s okay I guess if people are going to be happy with that but the other problem I have that makes the grind problematic, is it the grinding wheel and stem is not secure all the way through the mechanism and so the grinding stone floats from one side to the other which means you do not get an even grind ever. So basically this boils down to it looks like something but isn’t anything sadly.

I love this little thing! I’ve only had it for about two days. So far so good!
Originally I was concerned that beans would pop out from the top as I grinder. But they don’t. Only a little spec or some little grounds might pop out as it gets towards the end of grinding up all the beans. Would have been nice if there was a type of clear cover, but it doesn’t ruin the experience at all.

For a pour over, I found that tightening the grind setting to super fine, then loosening it a little bit had brought it to the right grind setting for me.

Edit: I had to add this little cut out cardboard circle to keep all the tiny bits of coffee from hopping out. It doesn’t cause a mess in the beginning of grinding. But when it gets down to the little bits at the end, sometimes the hop out

Overall works well however the handle does start squeaking after about a week of heavy use, however the ground is consistent, can be dialed up or down actually to a very fine espresso grind if desired. It’s a little bit of work to grind enough for the week but overall a good product. The only downside is the bean basket at the top is about as small as it looks. I thought it would be a little bigger allowing me to grind for a longer time vs having to fill constantly. Other than that though, satisfied with the quality at the price point.

Good coffee grinder overall, suitable for pump espresso machines. Visually appealing design and easy to grind beans in a decent amt of time (better than other hand grinders I have tried that cost less). The glass container made it nice for seeing how much coffee was ground. Only things that I had some issue with were not being able to obtain the desired setting for use with a La Pavoni lever machine (very fine needed) and not being able to close the top portion of the grinder to avoid beans from being spilled. I did not test this out for either a French Press or for drip coffee.

I did not experience the best version of the product. No matter what I did, or how much or little I put in the hopper, I had no luck with grinding any coffee.
