It is a great size for packing away to take along for trips. Easy to disassemble. Grind settings are easy to adjust.

I knew going in that this was an inexpensive grinder to experiment with for camping with a french press. Easy to use, small enough to pack into my camping gear box easily with removable handle, sturdy body. I was also able to add a wing nut to the adjustment bolt threads, so that the grind adjustment wouldn’t wander, but it never produced a consistent grind size. At home I use a blade grinder that has no adjustment and it does just fine with my drip maker, so I’m not sure where the fault is, since this grinder, set to a medium grind for the french press (as normally recommended for this type of coffee maker) produced a disappointing cup of coffee from the fresh beans I used. Maybe I’m just a coffee cretin, but my blade grinder and drip maker made a superior cup with the same beans the week before AND a couple years ago, standard Folgers in the same French press made an outstanding cup as well, which surprised the heck out of me.
This grinder looks identical to a handful of others sold around online and on Amazon, but substantially more expensive. So, if you want a cheap experiment, this could be the grinder for you. But, my experience was that it didn’t give me a consistent grind, nor a good cup of coffee from a press that before had proven itself before with better results. I’ll either go back to a drip grind for the press for camping, or just pre-grind what I need with my blade grinder. Would a more expensive burr grinder be the ticket? Maybe. But I am not willing to throw money that way for the privilege of being disappointed again, though the morning arm workout is probably better for me than just slinging a pre-grind for my morning eyeball opener.

I use this to grind whole beans for a cold brew setup. It grinds sufficiently a coarse size although there is some finer grind mixed in.
The size of the grind is easily adjustable.
The overall size is suited to brewing 30oz of cold brew. Fr our larger setup I fill the grinder twice.
Very portable size, good for camping/bikepacking.

I have never had a grinder like this until this one so i have no baselineto compare to. It takes a long time to grind and it’s a challenge to find the right setting. It also has a bit of play on the grinding side of the shaft. The instruction say to takeit apart and clean it before you use it. When i did i realized their are 2 fittings to keep the shaft in line and the one closest top the Griner side has more play than the handle side.. I really prefer that be opposite. I would rather the handle side have the play and the Griner side have none. With a lot of this amazon stuff you find that stuff like that has some mfg problems. I assume this is because they sell the better stuff in stores. It works though. I just wish the fittings were in better condition. They look like they could be better.

I expected more out of it. Easy to use but it didn’t work well with the salt I wanted to transform into almost powder like. It barely did much. Haven’t tried anything else but would imagine I probably won’t get the powder form I want

This coffee grinder does its job and it definitely portable.
It is not super easy to clean but it is a great value for the price.
This grinder grinds your coffee into a fairly fine powder. It does take a little bit of time to actually grind the coffee with this for a full large pot of coffee but if traveling, making single cups, or for tight spaces, this is the way to go.

I was a fool!!! I realize now my main complaint about this grinder was just user error on my part. I had previously left a 4 star review with a complaint about the burr sitting crooked (I’ll leave the old review below this) but I realized there is a small plastic piece inside of the grinder that wasn’t seated correctly. After cleaning, I thought that the plastic bit settled in easily, but it turns out I need to purposely misalign the wider parts of the center rod and the openings on the plastic bit and then pull up on the end where you attach the handle (man, I hope that made some sense). Doing this pushes the wide part of the rod against the plastic bit and makes it sit into place, which prevents the rod from moving and keeps the grind even! I included pictures of this piece in case the same thing happens to you, you can know which part to check.
I still stand by the fact that the grinder is a bit difficult to clean inside, but with a smaller size bottle brush I can get in the crevices just fine. For $15, this grinder is 1000% worth the price.

I guess for $15 I can’t expect much, and it works pretty well. The grinder itself is pretty sleek, looks nice, it’s very compact so it’s easy for travel, and grinds up coffee beans for a cup or two very quickly; I can be done in just a minute or so.
My only issues with this coffee grinder is that the mechanism inside is crooked and it’s very difficult to clean. As far as being crooked, I don’t know if maybe I just got a defective one, but as you can see in the photo the grind-y part of the burr (totally don’t know the proper name for it, sorry coffee connoisseurs) is visible on one side and not at all on the other. It doesn’t affect use TOO much, but it does make extremely inconsistent grounds that I have to pass through the grinder twice. As for cleaning, it only disassembles to a point so part of the grinder is difficult to clean on the inside. Otherwise it’s pretty good, and again, for $15 I guess I can’t expect too much.
