HOPE THEY PLAN ON RESTOCKING THIS COFFEE FAST!!!! . I ONLY HAVE A COUPLE OF DAYS WORTH LEFT. I HAD A SINKING FEELING THAT LAST TIME I SHOULD OF BOUGHT TWO BAGS, BUT I WANTED IT TO BE THE FRESHEST IT COULD BE.

Coffee is a personal thing. What I enjoy you may not. I can tell you that I went back for a second cup and will buy this again.
Freshness:. Let’s start here. The coffee arrived with plenty of time prior to best before date. The coffee beans are oily. (Not the best proxy for freshness but still a win.). The real tell tale sign I find is does the coffee bloom on first contact with water. This didn’t. It’s not super fresh. However, I put a handful of beans in a ziplock bag overnight and pushed out all the air and sealed. The bag was puffed up a bit in the morning with air. These are definately not stale.
Ok, flavor is a personal thing so I won’t dwell here. It a medium to full body flavor. Because they are a darker roast you get that bite at the beginning. I find for my tastes this coffee starts nice but fizzles out and lacks a great finish. The coffee is smooth with a desirable flavor. If you like Sumatra, or other Indonesian coffees you will likely enjoy this too. I find this very comparable to Peruvian Cafe Femenino but without the awesome finish.
The oily texture of the beans is good news for those of us using a French press, or a mocka pot. If you’re brewing this in a drip coffee maker I recommend anything other than a paper filter as it will negate the awesome oily nature of these beans. Use a gold filter.
That said, this is a fantastic value for the quality you get vs. The price. Especially when you consider it’s organic, non GMO and 100% Arabica beans. Although I question whether this is single origin coffee or blended from combinations of beans. The fact there is no mention of this on the bag leads me to believe this is a blend. Given taste profile I suspect this is a blend of different Latin American beans. (What do I know?)
All in all I will buy again as it is comparably priced to house brands of whole beans in the local supermarkets for significantly better quality. But it doesn’t compare to buying freshly roast coffee from your local roaster, nor should you expect that buying coffee from a large online retailer like Amazon.

It’s strong the way I like my coffee. I’d given a full 5 Stars if the zip lock on the bag worked. Its irritating to me that they put something on a bag and then it won’t stay closed. I guess I possibly could have gotten a fluke bag and others work? I’ll find out if I buy a second bag. Still looking for other options.

I’m oringally from Louisiana so wanting good coffee is part of my DNA, and this meets my specs. I switched to decaf some time ago, and am very happy that this is swiss water decaf vs. chemically processed. The price is great for the quality. And it’s very fresh as best by date is almost one year away. I mix in some chicory and make it in my cold brew maker and it is wonderful every time.

I like a cup of decaf in the late afternoon. Mayorga has a full body taste, unlike most other brand decafs. I’ve tried many of them including La Colombe which is a close second.

This coffee is special in that it is smooth yet full of flavor. There’s none of that ubiquitous burnt taste that you get with some other famous brands. I originally bought this on special at Costco, but couldn’t find it again then I found it on Amazon. Highly recommend.

I switched from the regular Kurig plastic the reusable kind. My next step was to find a good decaffeinated coffee. The coffee that I had been using was organic and medium dark roast. I tried one brand that was organic dark roast. It wasn’t. Then I saw Myorga organic dark roast Cuban style decaf coffee whole bean. I ground up a batch and made my first cup. Oh I wish you could taste it. It was smooth with low acidity. It was delicious. It comes in a two pound bag of the greatest coffee I have had. Whatever your method of making coffee, if you drink decaf coffee this stuff is for you. Try it
