This is some great tasting coffee. I drink my coffee black, no sugar , no creamer. Maxwell house is a great tasting coffee . Never bitter. Also, great priced K- cups. I give it a 10 star

I bought this on a whim.. the price was awesome and I was very surprised at how good this coffee taste this is a coffee that my parents drank..eons ago.. I was expecting it to be kind of bland but it is not it has a wonderful flavor.. I will be buying again.. this is usually the coffee I will drink in the morning.. I prefer a French roast later in the day..

I didn’t realize they’d be well past the best by date.

IMO, a much better value (and flavor) then Peets or Starbucks. It’s a toss up between Maxwell House, Kirkland, and McCafe (from McDonalds) K-cups. McCafe is smooooth as is any Kirkland roast. Maxwell House adds a slightly stronger, classic flavor. Toss a three headed coin in the air and you will not go wrong with either three. Strong buy recommendation (buy the brand that’s on sale on the day of purchase).

Good coffee at a good price.

“Delightful and Lively” another way of saying tangy and bright. It is a light leaning medium roast. I much prefer my coffee to be as dark as can be or a dark leaning medium. Will even go for a balanced medium so long as it doesnt have that tangy bright taste. This has a little bit of that, but is overall smooth. I prefer my coffee black and unsweetened, but I prefer this with cream. Cream takes the tang down a little. So I have my preferred black and unsweetened ultra dark roast as my first cup, then will drink this as my second. I like taking a few individual creamer pods pouring them into a little cup and then use my hand held frother on it to whip it into a thick cream. Looks lovely poured over my cup of coffee. Sometimes I add a little sweetener or flavor syrup for a fun option.
I do like the brand and overall I like this. If they have a dark roast I will likely get around to trying it, but I dont see one right now. I would probably like their Original Medium roast better. I think House Blends (I am learning) tend to take on the light roast qualities, which isnt for me. I imagine my husband and most guests will like this medium roast House Blend. It really comes down to preference. No concern with freshness. I think it has a best by date of a year out or so. No problems in our coffee machine.
