I’ve tried many different coffee blends and most of them don’t live up to my expectations. I tried the Grizzly brew and had been drinking it for a while. I actually bought the 454 by accident as the packaging is quite similar. Now I prefer the 454. I can’t quite articulate the flavor notes etc., but I do know it’s a good cup of coffee that doesn’t taste bitter or weak either. It’s just right.

I like Kicking Horse coffees and they are usually cheaper to buy on Amazon (as opposed to the local grocery).
One word of warning. Check the details. On a couple of occasions I thought I was ordering a pound and I mistakenly ordered the smaller 284 g package (more expensive by the gram).

I wouldn’t have given this coffee a second glance but it was on sale and I scooped it up. (See what I did there?) I use it in a grinder I got off of Amazon, then use disposable paper filters inside of a reusable plastic filter, and then insert it into the Chulux single serve coffee brewer (all from Amazon). I add a splash of bourbon cream, which did not come from Amazon.
Each brewed cup is rich and full of flavor, and the aroma of the grounds is intoxicating. This is darn good coffee, and I tip my cup to the Kicking Horse.
