Ok, so as another reviewer has said, the software sucks (let’s just get that out of the way). I find it ok to where I can work with it. My biggest complaint with the software is a lack of a confirmation when clicking a drink. So many times I’ve accidentally clicked a drink and the machine just starts going. I was just navigating and didn’t mean to click!

Otherwise though, this machine is awesome! I bought it for the drinks not the UI, so I’ll cut them some slack and hope for some updates. The espresso is not bitter or sour, the milk drinks are foamed extremely well. I’m really surprised.

Now one part I’m extremely disappointed in… the use of so much plastic! On a premium machine like this, I really expected more aluminum or metal. Coming from a Breville this made me question the longevity of the machine. The Breville has been rock solid, but the components are all robust. We’ll see how it stands the test of time. Please use less plastic on your premium models!

Still a 5 star product and highly recommended!

I had a faithful Jura Z5 for nearly 15 year. It served me well. Sadly, after being told it could no longer be repaired, we had to say goodby. After an extended grieving period and saving up a bit of cash, I was able to move forward with my life. When the Z10 entered into our family, I felt whole again. And happier. And inspired for the future of humanity. I hope I am not betraying the memory of my Z5 to say that the Z10 represents progress, the future, happiness. Humans can solve any problem, especially with a moderate dose of perfectly extracted caffeine. I’ve moved to cappuccinos at this stage in my life. The Z10 learned about me and put it front and center. Without asking. On its own. Waking up is now exciting. Invigorating. My life is complete.

It makes a good coffee. I can only compare it to the Delonghi Dinamica +. I would say the espresso and flat whites were marginally better with the Z10. The lattes, cappuccinos, and other drinks you couldn’t really tell the difference between the machines. My wife and i did some fun blind taste tests and could not pick out the drinks from the Z10 (other than the espresso and flat whites) , which costs over twice as much. The z10 is much larger, but does hold more water. I wasnt very impressed with the amount of plastic the Z10 had in it for that huge price. One final thing i didn’t care for with the Z10, is the monthly charge you are going to get hit with for filters, milk cleaning tablets, etc. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice machine, it’s just not twice as nice as the one I’m comparing it to. I had purchased it for my mom for her bday via amazon prime. For some reason it took over a week to get to me. Far past her bday. I bought a different gift. When it arrived, we contemplated keeping it, but had to try it first. I was a bit mad with Amazon and the slow delivery. Anyways, we tried it, but were not all that impressed…. If it was half the price, i would have kept it. But the coffees weren’t all that great…

i have cleaned and have done all the maintance to it and here i am at 3 months after the purchace having to take the machine in to get the milk system fixed. It would be fine if I didn’t clean it evey day. I run water through it everday when we are done usinging the milk. I bought the extra milk frig. unit. its a waste of money. milk went wrotten twice when it got low and what happens it you never run water to clean the milk system which is the reason my old pot had problems. After this my recommecation for anyone on a coffie pot is to by the best expresso maker out there and by something else for the milk. My backup which I now using agin is Brevilla milk system its a pot that you pour milk in and it will do enough for 2-3 cups at a time and the foam is out standing. and you do not spend $3500.

    Hi,
Hopes someone learns from my experience… the cup platform broke away from the back as I was emptying the grounds and drip plate… called Jura customer service (we have had the Jura coffee maker for 5WEEKS) where they asked where it was purchased. When I said Amazon they wanted to know the 3rd party seller. When I found the name on my order they said it is not an authoirized retailer so no warranty 👀. FYI for anyone buying from Amazon

This was my birthday present last year and I’m still grateful every morning. It makes very good coffee and you can customize the recipes to get it just the way you like it. We have many coffee drinkers in our family so it gets a lot of use but has held up well. Be prepared for daily maintenance of the milk system. We have the milk cooler too and haven’t had any problems with it. It seems okay even to leave the milk out overnight as long as you wash the cooler out thoroughly at least every second day. The biggest ongoing expense (besides coffee beans) are the filters. We have to change them about once a month and get them on Amazon for about $17 each. I suppose we could always skip using them and just descale the machine when it needs it though. The cost of the milk system cleaning fluid is pretty negligible because you use only a tiny amount per day. It was a splurge for sure but over a year later I’m still delighted.

We had an older Jura automatic coffee maker but it finally died. This one is very nice and makes a great cup of coffee, BUT after almost 2 months of ownership, we still haven’t been able to figure out all the bells and whistles. The manual is useless for figuring out how to do much of anything. We’ve watched a couple of videos online, but still haven’t been able to do everything the company claims the machine can do. We are very computer savvy, but this machine isn’t super intuitive. We’ve just been experimenting. We also purchased the milk cooler but it stopped working after a month and we had to return it. Currently we are using the milk container from our old Jura machine. Not what we’d hoped for, but we spent hours trying to sync the cooler to the coffee maker and it only worked once for a bit. Then the cooler started giving us inaccurate milk level readings and wouldn’t keep the milk cold. We’ve come close to returning this machine and buying something easier to use, but we really love the quality of coffee this machine makes. It’s a real love/hate relationship at the moment.
