Love this coffee machine!!

Me llegó medio roto el tanque del agua y fuga a agua. Dejó ya de hacerlo, tal vez era un desajuste del mecanismo.
NEK SNPR –
Brews a good cup. Spout too low for most cups. Must tip cup to catch coffee. Slow to brew a full cup. Must brew 2 cups in sequence to get on American size cup.

The Good: This machine makes very good espressos to allonges for a semi-automatic coffee maker. It is still lacking in flavor and texture to what I make in my real espresso maker and that is to be expected with the pressurized basket it uses. Nevertheless it is extremely convenient and I don’t always have time to make espresso (this machine is also way cheaper than a real espresso setup). For most people the quality of the drinks this makes will be some of the best they have ever had. I roast my own coffee and I am obsessive about coffee. I have tried every method of coffee brewing and most days I use the Jura. This isn’t my first Jura, I also own the older ENA 9 and this machine makes better espresso than the ENA 9 probably due to the newer PEP feature and updated grinder (maybe a 15% improvement/increase in flavor from the older model).
The Bad: This machine always leaves grounds in the machine that don’t make their way into the grounds catch box. Both of the ENA 4 machines I had left excess grounds in the machine like this. I had to send my first machine back after 2-3 months because water stopped flowing through it, I think grounds got stuck somewhere despite me keeping up with cleaning and descaling. If you like dark or even medium-dark roasted coffee (anything with visible oil on the bean) this machine
will not work for you! Dark beans will cause issues with the brewing chamber which will render this machine useless very quickly. Our older Jura can use medium-dark roasts I just have to manually clean it in addition to the cleaning programs every 6 months. We’ve had our older Jura since 2015 and we’ve pulled over 12,000 shots through it with minimal issues (my wife still uses it daily).
Overall it makes good espresso for a super-automatic but isn’t without it’s flaws. If it stands the test of time I would recommend it if you don’t like darker roasts. As an added note if you want to optimize the quality of the drinks from this machine, you need to adjust the grinder to suit the beans you are using. Make sure to always adjust the grinder while it is grinding, otherwise you may damage it.

The coffee is great with this machine. I previously owned a Jura Ena 8 so it is taking a little getting used to the differences. I knew when I bought this that I was getting a coffe machine. No lattes or cappuccino’s like my other machine. I was ok with that. But you can’t put a taller coffee cup in this machine. I don’t like that. Still makes great coffee but a little inconvenient if you make a larger coffee.

The Jura has leaked all over my counter from the time I received it. I don’t know if it was sent this way, or was damaged in the shipping. But I have had no satisfaction from Jura–have called them multiple times, leaving messages that are never returned. (I did reach a tech when I first received the machine in Dec. 2021, who helped me with the setting up. I didn’t immediately notice the leaking.)
The quality of the coffee is just so-so. I don’t understand it–others I know with Juras make stellar coffee. I have made all the necessary adjustments with grinds and strengths. I have tried many types of coffee. Ultimately, I have settled on an espresso bean from Italy that produces a great crema. But the espresso from this Jura is mediocre. It IS convenient to just push a button and have the beans ground, etc. But that’s about it. It is NOT convenient to have to remove and empty the reservoir after every cup, to prevent my counter from becoming soaked.
A waste of $950.

This machine is the best, i had a Breveille but it was too much work and i could never get the espresso quite right, plus i also wanted to have a regular long coffee with my espresso..after that i got a Nespresso machine, really didn’t like any of the flavors..my favorite coffee is Ilys and i decided time to try something that quick, gives you fresh coffee and is convenient with no guessing.
I got the Ena 4 because it has all the features you need at a great price, espresso, double espresso, Long Coffee + you can buy any frother to make the milk..i use my Nespresso frother for that. The Ena 4 is very simple and easy to use, no mess, no fuss..and a perfect espresso or cup of coffee every day!

I had heard great things about this product and know someone who loves their Jura (not this model). I decided to give it a try. Machine’s initial setup does not work per the instruction manual & same for multiple videos online. I gave customer service a call for assistance, waited a long time and got someone who had no interest in helping. I asked him to transfer me to someone else and he responded “there is no one else.” After we hung up, I researched Jura’s customer service to find a concerning number of one-star reviews and many complaints. That’s unacceptable for a $1000 machine.
The product itself:
– Good taste.
– It produces a rather small cup (even upon selecting the larger cup option/coffee option), so you wind up drinking a lot more caffeine if you keep brewing additional cups.
– I saw one video where the coffee comes out steaming. Mine was warm but not hot.
Summary
Perhaps a pricier model is better. But it’s the same customer service number for everyone, so keep that in mind. No one answers the phone at their corporate offices in New Jersey either.
I would recommend passing on this product.

Love my new machine. Have been purchasing Jura coffee makers for 20 years. Love the new look, small footprint and white color. Makes great coffee. Only downside is you can’t get a full cup of coffee. To fill up a regular coffee cup I have to enter 1 coffee followed by 1 espresso size. I needed to study product details more carefully before purchasing but will make due. This particular model does not come with a milk steamer. It’s not an issue for me but something to keep in mind in you prefer steamed milk.
