I am actually pretty happy with this cold brew container. It is fairly straight forward to use and comes with instructions on how to put it all together. Cleaning the coffee grinds can be a bit of a pain if you’re trying to avoid getting them down the drain, but that is the case with all cold brew containers.
First, it is important to understand this is 3/4 gallon. I was able o get 14 cups into the container which is slightly more than 3/4. I had never made cold brew before, and looking up recipes some suggest 1:1 ratio. Meaning if you’re brewing 16 ounces of coffee (1 gallon) then you should use 16 ounces of coarse ground beans (1 lb). Honestly, that sounds ridiculous to me, and in fact, this particular cold brew container filter can only hold around 3 to 4 ounces of coarse ground coffee beans. I used a kitchen scale to test it all out and it could not fit the advertised 6 ounces. None the less, the coffee still comes out strong enough for me.
A small short coming would be the fact that the filter lid and the full lid have no sort of locking mechanisms. They are pressure fitted, meaning if you lift this wrong in anyway, either lid can possibly pop off and you may have a big mess on your hands. Be sure to only grip it from the sides. Luckily it is made of sturdy plastic that does not flex so I felt secure in carrying it that way.
Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. It fits well in my fridge and is simple to use. A good deal in my book

I really wanted to like this item. The size is good, the design seems great for what I wanted. It definitely works on the cold brewing aspect. However, it leaks everywhere. No matter how much I tighten the rubber washers around the spigot, it leaks. Also, the spigot itself drips, even when in the “off” position. I sent it back.

The way this brewer is set up looks great upon initial reaction, but after using it once for coffee, it’s difficult to saturate all of the coffee grounds with water, due to the relatively high position of the ground filter.

I really like this cold brew coffee maker/pitcher. I have a small fridge so I like the size of it. Not too big, not too small. I don’t drink a lot of it so it lasts a while. I don’t fill it all the way up for that reason. I do wish there were better directions on how much coffee to fill it with. I used way too much the first time. But overall i’m happy with it! Very convenient and quick.

This doesn’t take up much room in the fridge and you don’t have to take the container out of the fridge to fill up your glass or mug. There were no instructions on how much coffee to use, so I just guesstimate.
My main issue with this was the lid doesn’t seem to be held on securely, so its too easy to accidentally knock the lid loose.

I love iced coffee, so I thought I’d give this cold brew maker a try. It makes a decent amount for my purposes. Unfortunately, the container and parts are all made of a somewhat medium quality plastic accept the filter.
When I put the spigot on, everything seems to be water tight. You have to make sure to screw the back on well, but at the same time you don’t want to tighten it too much to where it breaks. That part worried me a little.
I made a full container of coffee in the evening and let it sit over night in the fridge. When I tried it the next morning it tasted perfect. Amazon also has syrups you can buy like French vanilla, English toffee and toasted marshmallow. Perhaps I’ll have to try those and save money instead of going to my local coffee shop!
