As stated, this dripper makes a strong cup of coffee very quickly. Of course you could just use less coffee as you get familiar. The ceramic doesn’t seem to stain at all. The only oddity is that it shows the filters as pointy at the tip. I originally just used my regular #2s and they worked fine, really. But I decided to order some pointy-tipped ones online and they do fit right in as this dripper has one large hole directly in the bottom. I’m very impressed and pleased with how quickly it drips! The swirling grooves must indeed hold the coffee near the water to get the most out of it. This is my 3rd dripper and it’s way ahead of the others. It makes an excellent cup of coffee!

This item is perfect for all of the scraps of produce from my kitchen. The filter in the lid makes it so it never smells bad when I open it which is awesome. The food breaks down yet there is no smell. I would totally buy this again!

I do have a larger composter in my back yard so that does make a difference. Not sure I’d want one without it. All my old veggies and scraps go into it. I also made sure to buy the bags with it so I can just take the bag out to the larger one. I don’t feel quite so guilty about waste from leftovers if I can use them as compost.

Was very hesitant to try this coffee method but I found I’m allergic to nickel (so I can’t use any stainless steel) and not wanting to use plastic coffee machines after my keurig finally died, I decided to try this.
I’m honestly obsessed. I thought it would be complicated/tedious but it’s really no more complicated than brewing loose leaf tea. I try to make two cups at a time to put one in the fridge to make it a little faster some mornings. This method really produces some amazing tasting coffee. Usually with other methods, I feel like it can be hit or miss if you skew the ratio even a tad but every time this has produced great (very strong) coffee.
I also love that this is ceramic so I can hand wash or put in the dishwasher whereas when I previously had a french press, I never really trusted it in the dishwasher so that was an extra pain cleaning it all the time.
I truly can’t recommend this enough!

If you get the grind right and weigh out your beans (I use about 25g for 400g water), let it bloom, and pour it evenly (I don’t bother timing because I’m lazy), you’ll get some insanely good coffee. Only complaint is I got the 02 V60 and they sent it with 01 filters. Not a big deal, I used them for a while but didn’t like how short they were and ordered some 02. Much better. Minor complaint, just seemed a bit odd that they didn’t send the corresponding filter size. The V60 is amazing. I was between this and a chemex, and to be honest this was just cheaper so I went with it. Maybe down the road I’ll get a chemex and do a true comparison but for now this rocks.

The only way I can make coffee these days is by pour-over. My wife won’t tolerate a coffee machine in the kitchen because they just take up too much space. This is a perfect compromise because I’m the only one who drinks coffee so the single-cup option works in our house. I love the weight but am constantly afraid I’m going to drop it and shatter it. But…I’ve had it for a year and a half now without incident, so I suppose I’m on a roll.
You will need to get a filter option, so look into metal or fabric filters, but this is the funnel you have been searching for.
Pictured: this is how it fits on my cup I make my coffee in. It’s doesn’t quite fit over the top but it DOES sit steadily, and the cup has a very large mouth. Mine is a Yeti-style, stainless vacuum-sealed 32 oz monster. If you have a smaller cup it will work fine.

I’ve experimented with plenty of pour-over methods throughout the years, and this one has been the best, a convenient process that yields a delicious cup of coffee. For other methods, I needed to know not only the science of coffee, but also the science of cleaning up that junk, some of which would clog—somehow!—after a month or so.
I appreciate the aesthetic here because what single man doesn’t want to display a pleasing diminutive red ceramic coffee dripper, right? You’re letting a future partner know that style matters. But it really is best, to emphasize while on the subject, for a single cup, not to tested beyond that as the coffee simply won’t taste good. Of course.
Anyways, there are so many reviews already, but for someone who wants something more than drip but cannot study for their chemistry degree in coffee science, this one is a great choice.

So it’s a pour over coffee cone. it’s not exactly rocket science and pretty much all of these things perform similarly. Likely the only reason you’re even here is you want something “nicer”, something that will “last forever” and possibly something that’s “not plastic” (which can be desirable for lots of reasons) and you’re ok paying a premium for it.
Well I can attest that this thing is a well made piece of ceramic. It feels good, the glaze and formation are very even, it looks stylish, easy to clean, I have no doubt this thing could possibly last forever. works fine for my 16 Oz tumbler.
So what are the downsides? well being ceramic it’s vulnerable to chips and breaks, it’s also quite heavy. But if you’re here you’re probably OK with that. The biggest downside? It completely covers the cup! Many of the plastic or metal ones have gaps in the brim so you can see the coffee level as you pour. With this thing you’re pouring blind, you either need to measure ahead or keep lifting it up to check the level.
So for that usability issue It loses a star. If you just need some coffee get a plastic or even clear glass one for 1/3 the price. If you want something that looks like a piece of decor but also makes coffee and you don’t mind pouring blind. get this thing.
