Great product, was ready to throw Kurig duo coffeemaker in the trash because of the problematic cleaning process that must be dealt with all too often. So tried this powder and restored our Kurig to like new performance. Only problem must do 3 cycles of water afterward to clear the chemical cleaner out of the Kurig. For the price of the single use liquid cleaner you get 4 packs of the powder making it not only a better product but 4 times the cleanings. We have tried vinegar with poor results lasting only a month before cleaning light comes back on. Had we known about the cleaning of Kurig, never would have bought it to begin with, but it makes good coffee and this powder cleaner makes it easier to live with. Great cleaner for the problematic Kurig coffeemaker. Recommend the powder, you’ll never use anything else!

I use this on my OXO coffeemaker, which reminds me it’s time to clean every few months. I can only assume it’s working great. I don’t like using vinegar because that gets so smelly. This is easy to use. It does take a while to dissolve. I use warm water as instructed and keep stirring… takes a couple minutes. There are lots of warnings not to get the powder on you, or in your eyes, and not to accidentally inhale it. Sounds pretty serious, but again, I assume they formulated something that descales the machines well. I run three rinses after I use it.

This is the first time I’ve attempted descaling other than using the free packet that came in the box — this packet didn’t dissolve quite as easily as that one, and it seems like it may have caused some scarring on the chrome surfaces of our coffee maker — I think next time I’ll pre-mix the powder into water before pouring it into the coffee maker instead of trying to mix it in the reservoir. I did rinse everything immediately after running the descale cycle so it’s not that… still I’m pretty sure it wasn’t the powder’s fault.

Bought these for my wife’s Keurig, but after ignoring the descale light on my Delonghi Dinamica for a year because I hadn’t ordered their brand descaler, I decided to use one of the Dezcal packets to on the Delonghi.

I had an idea that it would work, because I mixed it in a 4-cup Pyrex cup that is never used, it sits next to the sink and I place a 2 cup Pyrex measuring cup in it that is used 2 or 3 times a day.

As a result of having the smaller cup placed in it wet, I discovered that the larger measuring cup had hard scale on the bottom on what must have been the low spot.

I washed the larger measuring cup several times and tried to remove the scale with my thumb, but it wasn’t coming off.

Decided to still use it to mix the Dezcal with 4 cups of water, stirred it up for about 20 seconds, poured it into the water container for the Delonghi, and the scale that had been at the bottom of the cup was gone without a trace.

So, there’s no question that it works great at the hardened minerals that clog the inside of a coffee maker.
