I purchased this used unit in excellent condition. Better than my previous unit in that carafe pours correctly. My first machine needed extra care when pouring so as not to get coffee everywhere

Owned COM 530M model since December 2022. Flushed 3 times with DeLonghi Cleaner. Dispensing a 3 oz cup of espresso often vents 3 oz of steam/water into the drip tray. Tamping the grounds to different degrees of force didn’t solve that problem. Most aggravating, some of the vented liquid leaked down under the tray and pooled under the machine. I solved that design flaw leakage by extending the steam “vent” that sits above the tray using a 1/2″ length of silicone tubing secured with silicone adhesive. Now all the discharge ends up in the tray. I suggest turning on the Espresso to warm it, priming the empty portafilter with a burst of hot water, filling the heated filter and very brief start/stop the pour to swell the grounds, wait for the light to stop blinking , then resume pour.

The espresso is surprisingly not very hot, I am a little disappointed in the machine.

After just 8 short months the machine began going crazy. Randomly the coffee pot would turn on while making an espresso. The clock would just run and not stop. I would have to keep hitting the buttons off.

I ordered as a Christmas gift. When my husband opened the box, a large piece was broken and the machine was dirty with hard water stains. We returned the item and reordered another item. The second one had a broken piece as well. Both pictures attached. We kept the 2nd one because it doesn’t seem to hinder the functionality but still dissatisfied with purchase. Obviously a defect with the machine. Both items broken in same place.
