De’Longhi BCO330T Coffee, Espresso, Cappuccino Machine, 24″ x 14″ x 14″, Black/Stainless Steel

Had it several weeks and it is a great little machine. Bought it to save counter space and was skeptical about the quality from the reviews but got a great deal and took a chance anyway. It is good quality, but I wouldn’t categorize it as heavy duty. It looks nice but is definitely more plastic than anything. We were moving from a Krups espresso/cappuccino maker that had a water reservoir where the DeLonghi you need to fill each time you make an espresso. I don’t mind this at all. The foamer is a bit different from what I am use to as well but once I got the hang of it I thought it works fine. I add just a touch more water to the machine to ensure I have enough steam and I keep a towel underneath to be able to let off the excess without it making a mess. The espresso made by this machine is much better than the Krups we replaced. I mean night and day difference.

The coffee make is really great too! Just make sure when you are filling the reservoir that you poor it the length of the reservoir and not perpendicular so it doesn’t over flow. The quality is good and I really appreciate the minimal number of buttons on the machine.

I purchased this item on Boxing day. It was my first ever purchase using my Amazon Prime account. I was very delighted with the shipping and delivery of the product- it showed up two days later as promised

I was a little skeptical of this item. I had read such mixed reviews. My experience with my coffee maker was trouble free for about a month or so. But one morning all of a sudden the drip coffee maker quit working. It would no longer even turn on.

I contacted Delonghi and explained the difficulty I was having with their product. They were very responsive and helpful. Within about a week or two they were able to confirm that I would be getting a replacement unit.

A few weeks went by and I did not hear anything more about the replacement item. I contacted Delonghi back and they told me that regretfully the model I had (BC 330) was out of stock and they would unlikely get more in anytime soon.

I was disappointed that no one had reached out to me in so long- but to compensate they upgraded me to the BC430. The device arrived shortly after they confirmed it had been sent. Overall the device worked well for about a year. But after that it began to give me problems. Now the device has started to leak water when its used. The one night i picked it up to move it on the counter and there was sticky stuff melted to the counter. I realized shortly after it was silicone from the inside of the machine.

Even though they upgraded me and took care of the initial problematic machine- it seems clear that DeLonghi is skimping when it comes to any sort of long term quality.

This is the third of these Combo coffee/espresso/steamer products I have purchased from DeLonghi over the past several years. I buy them because I love cafe au laits on the weekend, and there aren’t many products that are a coffee maker and milk steamer combined, and I have yet to find a stand-alone milk steamer (frothers, yes, but not steamer). The first two lasted what I felt was a reasonable amount of time — let’s face it, coffee makers die after a year or two. I’ve come to accept that and move on. However, this latest one was purchased December 22, 2016. Now, three months later, the coffee-maker part of the machine has stopped working, We noticed first that the warming element was not working and the next day the machine would not brew coffee.

The coffee part of this machine has been used daily.The milk steamer maybe every other weekend, and the espresso maker has never been used. I always use filtered water from the refrigerator. It is sad (and somewhat confounding) that DeLonghi cannot make a quality product. FWIW, I had a Capresso brand a time or two, as well, and those are just as poor of quality.

The coffee maker itself is reasonable (I’ve had better and I’ve had worse). The coffee pot holds only 10 cups, which might be an issue for some households (it was on the edge of “enough” for us). The steamer works great, but the threads on the plastic steamer nozzle stripped out the first time I removed it for cleaning after use and then tried to replace it (after which, I didn’t remove it anymore for cleaning — I just submerged the nozzle in a cup of water and ran steam through it then wiped it down well). On my previous models, I removed the nozzle to clean it after every use with no problem. One of the pins that holds the lid onto the coffee pot broke within the first week or two… so quality appears to be dropping on the plastics they use, as well. (We are adults and we are NOT hard on items. We have had many of our appliances for years.)

I really want to like this product. I want to have freshly brewed coffee weekday mornings, and my lovely cafe au laits on the weekends. I have tried, but really, DeLonghi, three strikes and you are now out. I am flabbergasted that it is so difficult for jANYmanufacturer to make a quality combo machine at a reasonable price.
