Only worked 40% of the time. In that 40%, the coffee was excellent. The other 60% of the time (mostly when you put it on to make coffee before work…) it would boil the water for about 10 thousand minutes and just decide it didn’t want to let that boiling water become coffee by letting it out of the boil compartment and down over the grounds into the pot. Then a guy is real mad because there is no before work coffee. This process would repeat almost no matter how many times you restarted the brewing process. I tried enough times that I started out with 8 cups in the boiler, and it boiled it down to less than 2 cups. Overall, was extremely disappointed with the purchase, but returned it and Amazon very graciously provided me another one. The new maker was… well… the. Exact. Same. Do not waste your money with this product, it’ll more often that not leave you without your coffee.

This coffee is PHENOMENAL! We are coffee people, (my boyfriend and in-laws are European coffee people), and everyone LOVES the coffee this machine makes! We’ve made coffee on all three settings and it’s just lovely, for lack of a better word.
It is also space-saving, and generally stunning to look at. (Even I was taken aback by the fact it is actually, downright sleek and pretty without being frilly.)
That being said, it’s a little high-maintenance, (though none of these things bother us):
• There is no clock, no timer, no automatic brewing, but not having that wiring and components inside is the reason it’s so sleek looking.
• Also, it does brew very quickly, but you cannot pause or interrupt brewing, you need to wait until it’s completely done to pour anything out of the carafe.
• There is a learning curve with removing the used grounds before pouring your first cup, but that’s a really short learning curve.
The thing that is actually getting to us is the carafe! It, to, is BEAUTIFUL, but it cracks with the slightest bump! The first time, it was knocked against the stone counter top, so we just ate it and bought a new one from the company’s website ($28 + $11 shipping), kept a silicone trivet on the counter for when we need to set it down and we’re otherwise very careful with it. The second time, however, it seems to have just cracked. We were brewing coffee, noticed a pool of it forming below the carafe, and found a hairline crack in the bottom.
I’m ordering ANOTHER carafe from the company’s website and buying the 2 year protection plan, hopefully this time it goes better, because the coffee is truly so much better than a regular brewer.

I like the idea of the unconventional placement of the grinds holder sitting in the carafe. 1. This keeps the smell of grinds and any residue away from the reservoir and water flow, which by common sense would seem to keep these areas cleaner for a longer period. 2. Having to remove the grinds holder from the carafe to the external plastic holder – I don’t see this as a burden, but a sensible option to contain the grinds until I am ready to dispose of them. 3. The overall design allows the reservoir itself to be easily cleaned, by simply wiping the excess water out with a clean, dry towel.
The clicking sound is only a result of the machine having temporarily stopped the flow; it is not a defect. And the machine does beep when the brewing is finished.
The iced coffee process works fine for me. The bottom plate warmer does not come on during iced brew mode.
I only notice a slight difference in flavor when using the pour over mode, but it does take a little longer. Overall I don’t feel that the Brewing process takes too long as others have stated. I do understand though that not having a timer to start a brew process for waking up in the morning could be a real negative for many.
The coffee is hot – perfect in my opinion. And the warmer does keep the coffee hot.
I typically do four cups by DeLonghi standards when I brew, which produces two standard mugs of java, or 20 ounces.
Cons:
1. The carafe is too large for the limited eighy cups that it is able to produce. This must play into the overall design, because it simply makes no sense. 2. The free flipping of the lid as you pour is a distraction and I could see it leading to a sloppy pour, though I have not experienced any spilling when I pour, but the lid overall feels abnormal compared to other lids.
One positive I guess is that you don’t have to touch the lid at all, because when you pour, the lid is designed to yield as the flow passes through to your cup – this is actually a clever design and I don’t have a problem with it because it works. At the same time you can hold back the lid manually, but this has a different feel than other lids.
3. I felt that the machine was expensive, so wait for a deal as I did.

I’ve read so many reviews and I was really unsure. Decided to get this machine the coffee is really good, I find it super easy to clean as the coffee filter is gotten inside the pot, easy to remove. The water takes a couple of minutes to boil the coffee tastes really good. I live in a condo and this machine is super compact it doesn’t take too much room and it’s very aesthetically pretty.

After years of using a pour over cone and kettle, I decided to try a coffee maker. This machine has a smallish footprint and produces tasty coffee with minimal effort. Putting the come inside the carafe is a nifty way to save space. The warming plat stays on for 45 min, which is adequate most days and reflects how long coffee should be warmed before the taste degrades. Some days I rewarm a thermal carafe to hold the coffee at temperature for longer than 60 min. It also makes a really good iced coffee which is for me better than cold brew

First off..The negative reviews are unwarranted…This is a great basic function coffee brewer. YES..it clicks and beeps at you..But so do some
Bonavita and Technivorm Moccamaster’s…at 2-3 time’s the price!! Google them and watch the videos. ( Some people should just buy a Keurig 🤨🤔) I love the constant flavorful fresh ground Bean coffee ☕
that this brew’s.
The Carafe IS oversized for the very reason the filter fits inside, which keeps the footprint smaller..Non issue.
The one (1) small criticism I have is there’s no permanent mesh filter basket option (Yet)..so paper or reusable cloth,or Stainless steel #4’s are the options.. (investigating this more)..I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys fresh ground Bean coffee, Which IS the ONLY way to have a perfect cup, mug or pot.😁
January 31/2023 found on Amazon.ca a #4 Stainless steel filter, So I bought 3 and the filter works with no fines in the bottom of the carafe 👍👍. Tip out grinds and rinse!!

The first thing I love about this coffee maker is that the coffee is awesome. Truly – just use their little scoop and good coffee and water. Whether it’s 6am or 4:20pm, the directions will show you the way.
Another thing to love is that this coffee maker is also flexible. It makes great hot coffee, but equally bangin’ iced brew.
I read a revIew that said it is a lousy single-cup brewer. Au contraire. I have found that making a quick 3-cup pot is just about perfect for my Yeti tumbler. A brewed “cup” is 4 ounces.
I use a paper filter (size 4). I love that it’s paper and is compostable. Also, paper cones are believed to be healthier.
My only negatives are that the top is kinda awkward sometimes and that I have to de-scale frequently.
I do think it will be on my counter for many, many years, and in a world of coffee makers that promise to do everything but your taxes, this one executes a few simple functions flawlessly. That’s all I need it to do. Buy it. Cheers.

Great SCA certified coffee maker. Consistently produces a top-notch cup of coffee. Very easy to use and looks great on the counter to boot !

This coffee machine makes great regular coffee and great pour over coffee. I haven’t had an opportunity to try ice coffee yet. Absolutely wonderful in this coffee snobs opinion. There is one huge problem tho:
The heating plate only stays on for 1 hour. 60 minutes max. I want to make a pot of coffee and I don’t drink 8 cups of coffee in 60 minutes. Not 120 minutes either. Other SCAA certified coffee machines manage to keep the heating plates going for 4 whole hours. This is a major issue. I don’t want to make 4 small batches of coffee. I grind my beans. A $50 percolator keeps keeps coffee hot indefinitely. My previous coffee maker, for many years, Bunn, was SCAA certified and managed 4 hours of heated plate functionality.
