Buying Guide: Cold Brew Filter for Mason Jar Wide Mouth Coffee Maker

Why Choose a Cold Brew Filter for Mason Jar Wide Mouth Coffee Maker?

Discover the benefits of using a cold brew filter for your wide mouth mason jar coffee maker. With upgraded stainless steel mesh and silicone seals, this filter offers an easy and efficient way to make cold brew and infusions.

Factors to Consider

Compatibility

Ensure that the cold brew filter is designed specifically for wide mouth mason jars. In this case, the filter should fit perfectly into 2 quart / 64 ounces jars, allowing you to make large batches of cold brew or iced tea.

Material

Look for a filter made of high-quality stainless steel mesh. The 160 micron dutch weave cone-shaped filter in this product ensures that only the purest flavor goodness enters your beverage, resulting in a delicious and smooth cold brew.

Silicone Seals

Check if the cold brew filter comes with silicone seals for secure lid sealing. These seals ensure that your mason jar is tightly sealed to prevent leakage and maintain the freshness of your brew.

Reusable and Eco-Friendly

Consider the environmental impact when selecting a coffee maker. Opting for a reusable coffee filter allows you to reduce waste by reusing your existing mason jars and lids. This cold brew filter is designed to be a lifetime coffee brewer and can also be used as a travel coffee maker.

I have 4 of these and they all do the job wonderfully. Had one issue and they gave me an amazing solution that I didn’t even ask for. Great product and team.

It’s so hot outside and cold brew hits the spot! I had been using paper filters to cold brew my coffee. It took a long time (around an hour or two) to filter. I had to change the paper filters often due to the grounds clogging it. It was messy and wasteful. This filter fits perfectly in my jar. The silicone seal instructions left me a little confused, but I found a video to show how to use them. The thinner/flatter silicone seal is the one to use if you don’t have their special lid. It has a slit in the seal that fits around the lip of the metal filter. Put the coffee in the filter, add water, close, put it in the fridge. Easy peasy! Thank you for a quality product that cuts down on my time spent filtering and wasted paper filters. I’ll be ordering a second one so I can have multiple cold brews at different stages.

After trying two other types of filter, which were quite messy to empty, I read the reviews on this one and bought it. And I`m very glad I did! It certainly is the best by far for my cold brew. It`s easy to fill, easy to empty and the coffee tastes great—– cleaning is easy too. I`ve only used it for three brews so far, so I can`t offer any opinion on how it holds up with long-term usage, but this has the others beat in every way,
and I`m delighted with it. P.S. I got the 64 oz mason jar size, and the filter fits the jar to perfection, unlike the others I tried.

I still prefer a second filter thru a paper filter…picks up some sediment. Love the cold brew

Used Costco’s LavAzza beans very finely ground (already in freezer when I purchased this 32-oz product). Prepped a batch on my counter overnite (not in fridge). No need to completely close the drinking lid (which is very tight). Was able to re-use my VitaMix’d fine-grounds (like a powder) for a 2nd batch & ended up with 64 oz of concentrate which I store in a 64 oz glass jug, of which I use 2 oz per 10 oz filtered water (320 oz of coffee at that strength). Love the cost effectiveness & it’s soooooo yummmm.

There was some sediment from my 2nd batch because I stirred well the used grounds. This made for a very strong concentrate, which blended well with the 1st batch. These grounds deodorized my compost bucket & ended up mulching my flower baskets. More money saved!

Actually I have other wide mouth Mason 32 oz jars but this product’s lid doesn’t fit them (too big). Have noted recommended beans in the Comments & will try in future. Appreciate. Strongly recommend the 32 oz product! (The 64 oz will not fit some fridges.)

Will also use for soup this winter.

I have bought plastic jar lids of all kinds over the years and this brand “Brewing America” is absolutely the best! I couldn’t be happier!
    Thank you BREWING AMERICA!
It is strong sturdy plastic Not bulky it’s perfect!
I can throw it in my bag and not worry about it leaking ..the seal is awesome!
The filter is really sturdy as well doesn’t fold inwards after one time use like many others I’ve wasted money on!
Highly recommend both the lid and filter !
Bonus it came with a quality jar!!!!!!!

We were making so much coffee that we bought two. They’re easy to clean, easy to fill and it even comes with a book of recipes for drinks. I would recommend this if you want cold brew coffee.

My wife and I purchased this diffuser to help make flavored water. We took frozen raspberries let them defrost and put them in. The raspberries of course broke apart and turned a little mushy and the filter kept all of it contained but still allow the water to flavor wonderfully. The mesh is very small and tight Wolven with no holes and the lid is smooth with a good finish on it all the seals are in great condition I am very happy with this purchase.

Got into flavoured cream cold brews at Starbucks. But found they were expensive, too sweet and, frankly, too rich for my tastes. Even having them eliminate and lower amounts for what was added, still left me not totally happy. So decided to attempt brewing my own cold brew at home. This has been a perfect solution as I can taste test my way through the making of them to suit my tastes and moods. Only drawback was I had an imperfect straining system rigged up. Discovered this setup when I went searching through Amazon and was very taken with the positive reviews. I honestly just received it and strained my first batch yesterday. Was so much simpler and brewed a fabulous tasting batch! Am looking forward to many delicious cold brew concoctions through the warm months ahead.
