It does just fine grinding for $20, I’m happy there.
But, this might literally be the only rechargable device I own that will not allow you to use it(grind) while it charges. It died about 20 seconds into the needed 2 min grinding this morning, leaving me an extra 30-60 min without my coffee…because it won’t operate plugged in.
Lesson learned…charge it more often. Though it did do probably 15-20 grinds before needing a charge, which is why it gets 3 stars instead of 2.

First I’d like to say this is probably great for the casual camper or weekend warrior road tripper. They’ll most likely not use it enough to be annoyed by its “features”.
I’ve been using this grinder for a few weeks now and there’s one big drawback. The autostop function is a total pain. You should be able to start it and have it grind a whole hopper of beans before it stops, but that’s just not the case. So, if you are on a tight schedule in the morning you can’t be grinding your coffee while you’re preparing your breakfast. You’ll need a babysitter for this thing to keep starting it every 3 to 6 seconds.
Now the good things if you’re not using this as your daily driver.
    1. It does grind coffee to a consistent
size(relatively so there is some slop
in the burr) but it’s a $25 burr grinder.
    2. I was able to grind almost 3.5 cups of
coffee in a single charge. (Granted it took
two hours to do since I had to babysit the
    thing the whole time)
    3. There’s a magnet that holds the hopper lid
closed so as long as you’re not beating the
snot out of it, it should contain the beans
and mess. But if I was going to throw it in
a backpack or be bumping it around at all
I’d probably put a couple rubber bands on
    it just to be safe.
    4. Charge time of 2.5hrs for 2hrs of run time
Isn’t bad. (Wouldn’t need two hours
though if it would just grind a whole
    hopper)

I bought this grinder mostly due to sticker shock. Shock at how much ground coffee is at the local retailer here in WA state. It was $20 for 12oz of that starsomethingorother coffee preground or $12 for 2lbs of whole bean of the same type of coffee in the local store brand. Since I’m living and traveling full-time as a dirtbag climber I’m on a bit of a budget, so I bought this grinder to save money. The one luxury I allow myself to keep my spirts up when things are rough on the road is good coffee.

I’m only giving this 3 stars due to the start stop issue. I can’t do anything other than grind coffee while I’m grinding coffee. If they can fix that I’ll give it 5 depending on how long it lasts. I’d like to hear from the company and see if maybe there’s a way to update the firmware for its control board to correct the problem. Just seems like a calibration issue.

I just received this today. Out of the box the unit was fully charged even though the manual suggested charging for 2 hours before first use (plugged in and all bars lit up with no blinking).
I use a single cup French press in the mornings and buy coffee at Costco. With how long it takes me to get through a large bag of coffee I decided I should start grinding the beans at home. On my last trip to get coffee I ground 1/3 of the bag so I have a control of the grind I needed. The dial on this unit isn’t super accurate.
I started the first grind with no adjustments at all and got (1). The dial was already showing “course” so I rotated the dial 360 degrees counterclockwise back to “coarse” and got (2). Wasnt coarse enough so I rotated the dial another 360 degrees counterclockwise and got (3). Very close but I thought a little too coarse so I rotated the dial clockwise a bit to the “fine” setting and got (4). I’m happy with the visual compared to my control and will see how it does in the morning.
For the price it seems to work well. It’s very quiet when running. Easy to open. I only need 4 tbsp of coffee per cup I make so I don’t think it will take much time to grind what I need. Also love the size. I have some tiny open shelves at the end of my cabinets and this was one of the only models I found under 9” tall to fit there. Looks exactly like the photos.

    Update 12/6/22:

I’m still enjoying this grinder. I worked it pretty hard the night before Thanksgiving to have coffee ready to go for my guests the next day. Got a lot of coffee ground before having to recharge (enough and then some)

I was just reading that a lot of people are experiencing the auto-off happening shortly after starting the grinder. I have had this happen and determined that it stops because the beans are getting stuck and not feeding into the grinding mechanism. I have found that a couple of gentle shakes before pressing the power button help a lot. I’m able to get the grinder to process everything in the chamber more often.
