On paper this looked like a perfect machine. But the issues I have experienced are not worth it.
1. The auto used capsule ejector is nice, but it will crush them if it doesn’t clear properly. It has happened a few times and makes quite a mess as well as having to pry the smashed capsule out with a knife.
2. The machine also leaks internally. Possibly from an overfull drip tray, but sometimes not. In any case you will need to clear the capsule drip tray more frequently for the spilled coffee, that for the used capsules. Coffee leaks out all around the join at the base. You can clean the outside but not inside so it just keeps seeping out.
3. Then the capsule tray will get stuck from the dried coffee spilled. It has only a small nub at the front to pull. My wife cannot get it out when stuck.
4. It has a nice waring light for after the water runs out, but with the tank on the side its pretty easy to see that its out. Would be nice it it turned on when it was low rather than after it ran out.
5. Bluetooth doesn’t work, but is a gimmick that isn’t well thought out unless you only drink 1 type of capsule. But i didn’t buy it for that.
6. Frother doesn’t seem to make cappuccino froth very well.
7. The dedicated hot water setting is also nice, but it not only uses a different water line (which is good as you don’t get residual coffee water) but also uses a different heat element. This is not so good since you will need to wait 30 seconds after you pour your shot to have the hot water ready.

 great machine – I was hesitant when I read some of the prior reviews were various issues like cup size and desscaling issues were mentioned. This machine is amazing however! it is small and gives back a ton of counter space which we had lost with the bouquet older Keurig that was there. The machine is quiet the design is sleek and you can fit in different cup sizes and make different sizes of coffee / espresso which is great. it is worth getting this machine,over the pixie which we were looking at,which is much louder and felt slower too. Also, according to Nespresso these machines are backed by at least a 1 to 2 year warranty so I’m not sure why others had issues that couldn’t be resolved- works great so far for us!

This is a fantastic machine. I used to live in Europe and have owned many Nespresso machines since the early 90s and I think this is the best machine I have used.
It is so much quieter than my old machine and the adjustable temperature control is excellent, I would buy it again just for this, at last no need to microwave my coffee. My wife particularly loves the Americano settings. I am not sure that I will find much use for the App, but it is nice to be able to adjust cup size so easily, but I don’t think I will ever find the need to schedule a cup of coffee as it is so quick to warm up and make.
My only complaint is that the water canister gets so much condensation inside (see picture) which for me spoils the look of the unit on my counter. On my old Romeo machine, the lid had an air vent, this does not, it seals tight. If anyone has a fix I would love to hear about it.

After using a more manual machine for about 5 years, this machine is like I’m being pampered. You don’t have to pack the espresso, you don’t have to shut it off at the right amount and you don’t have to watch the milk froth. It’s so nice!
For the espresso, you just keep the water topped up, pop in your pod and select the liquid amount and press start. And for the milk, all you do is fill to the fill line and press the button for hot frothing and hold it for cold.
*A tip for the milk is to find the notch in the lid of the frother and line it up with the button to prevent the milk from frothing out of the container.
While it is expensive, it’s well worth the time I save from not having to monitor my espresso and lack of the typical “nails on a chalkboard” sound of frothing milk.
I would also note that buying to pods is probably a bit more expensive than buying ground or whole bean espresso but there are some deals and non-Nespresso brand options available.

Great espresso machine, the water temp is quick to heat up. The aeroccino is equally as fast and I am amazed at how much froth it can generate compared to my last milk frother.
The bluetooth functionality doesn’t work(Won’t connect to machine – tells me to call a euro-based tech support number), but I didn’t buy it for that.

I purchase this Nespresso, love the design, it works great. I don’t use the app for it, I don’t really see the point of it. Now I had this machine for a while now, it leaks water within the unit, not sure where it’s coming and the container that captures the used capsules is very small. Other than that it works and I love the design. I kept it and I learn to deal with those few issues.

The Nespresso expert is by far the best coffee machine out there. Since I got it, I cannot find any reason to regret my decision. Quick to warm the water, dials work perfectly, size is just great, and esthetically it looks so futuristic. Coffee tastes just great.
The reason I gave it 3 stars is actually the Bluetooth connection. I had to work with customer service for around 30 minutes to connect the machine to my phone. Next day the connection was lost and I had to go through the entire process again. Seems the machine is new and the application hasn’t been updated yet, which is disappointing given the price tag.

I bought this in June 2019, so two years old as I write this. I’ve made many hundreds of excellent espressos, lungos, the occasional Americano, and several ristrettos with it and enjoyed them all. The large (compared to other Nespresso machines) container holds a lot of water. The machine does connect via Bluetooth to a smart device and shows some interesting machine information such as the software version, serial number, need for descaling, capsules used, but in general this is a feature you’ll get over very quickly never to use again. My issue with this machine is that despite descaling and both timely and repeated cleaning cycles, the coffee has begun to drip out of the spout and no longer flows. It can take over a minute to get a lungo pull where the flow used to take under 15 seconds.
Called Nespresso, they were very nice, and explained this model is not reparable nor is there inventory of this discontinued model anymore. So, I was offered, and accepted, a Latissima One replacement machine. Sorry to see my Expert go though; we really liked it and the coffee it made.

Absolutely horrible customer service, bought the large machine back in February, put away during the warmer weather, just got it out the other day and it is not working. The machine turns on and off but that is about it. Called customer service and after an hour still nothing. And they are not willing to help me out at all. $300 machine used maybe 10 times and now useless!!

I bought this coffee maker as a gift for my wife. When it arrived from Amazon it didn’t work. It only produced hot water and no coffee. My wife called customer support at Nespresso. They were very pleasant and worked quite a while with her to make sure that she was operating it properly. In the end they decided it was defective and that they would send us a new one and that we should pack up the defective one and send it back in the same box that the new one was shipped in. We were amazed when the new one arrived in just a few days. (We live in a small isolated town on an island and shipping often takes extra time.) The new one worked perfectly. (The first one didn’t punch perforations in the top of the capsule so that the hot water couldn’t flow through the capsule to make coffee. My wife loves the coffee and Nespresso certainly has excellent customer support!

In fairness, the Nespresso Expert brews great coffee, including quite acceptable espresso-like shots, as well as Americanos. The app leaves much to be desired, however – it does not stay connected to the device, and if you were looking at this machine to allow you to operate it from your bedroom in the morning, look elsewhere. The app wasn’t a primary motivator for me. I was more interested in the temperature control and the form factor. From that perspective, the device deserves a 4/5.
However, the posting for this device specifically states that it comes with an Aeroccino. This was NOT included in my order. I have reached out to look for resolution. I’m not willing to return it, as I purchased it to replace a failing coffee maker and I’m not willing to do without it until another one is in my possession.
