I DONT like that the bottom part changed color and it’s very hard to get rid of the tarnish

The item is made of steel and could work on some induction stoves BUT it does not work on mine. The reason could be that only the outer rim of the bottom surface sits on the stove. The stove Msy therefore not detect enough metal to work. I use a steel plate on the stove and place the pot on top of that.

The plastic flip lid handle gets extremely hot. The steam comes out around the edges of lid and heats it up. If it was in center that wouldn’t happen, but then it wouldn’t be a flip lid. Don’t know if is an advantage or not to be a flip lid…

I never knew about Moka pots before. I saw them on here and I was intrigued. Being a single guy I only need to make coffee for myself. The French press is great but I use too much coffee. The k cup filter I use with my ground coffee is fine, but doesn’t brew as strong as I like. The Moka pot seemed like a perfect in between. I didn’t want to buy an expensive one in case I wasn’t a fan. So I took a chance on this one. I don’t think I’ve ever bought anything on Amazon that didn’t have any ratings. But I had a good feeling about this and took a shot. I’m happy I did. This is well made. It’s a good size. Most Moka pots are smaller capacity for around the same price. I wanted more than an 8 or 10 ounces pot. This fit the bill. I searched online for instructions on how to use a Moka pot and after some trial and error I’ve got it dialed in. Super easy. And I’m super happy. I’m sure this is equal quality with pots that are more expensive. I wake up and look forward to making coffee in the morning with this pot. 😊
