Does NOT match color description
I had this coffee maker previously in black. It lasted about 18 months and quit working. I ordered this one last week to replace it and when there was a color choice of red I picked that since my other small appliances are red but as you can clearly see it’s not red. It’s not maroon or burgundy. It is PURPLE. If I would have known it was going to be purple I would have chosen the black one like I previously had.As far as the product itself I do love it. I like that it comes with a coffee scoop and the filter is washable. It includes a clear cold coffee cup for use with a straw. The cup is marked with a water fill line for measuring how much water to use in the maker and also an ice line for filling the cup. The markings are a little hard to read and I wish the cup was not clear as after a year of use it became quite stained. I would recommend this product but heads up on the color choices.

The insulated cup with the fill line and the measuring scoop make a perfect cup of iced coffee-way better tasting and much colder than brewing a cup of coffee and pouring it over ice. It was worth the small cost of having a separate machine. I keep it in my home office. Cheap, but quite useful.

This coffee maker was just what I wanted. Being used to having the Ninja coffee bar and it's iced drinks around at my mom's house, I wanted to have my own iced coffee maker so I could fuel my iced coffee addiction in a more cost effective way. This coffee maker fits the bill. So far it has been working great. I know lots of people have had issues with it, but so far mine is working fine. The coffee comes out tasting good (I don't use the scoop at all though, I use as much as I think I need for strong coffee. The coffee basket is fairly big so it's not a problem.)
I don't keep mine plugged in, and only plug it in when I'm ready to run the brewing cycle, then unplug it as soon as it's done and leave it that way until the next time I use it. Definitely don't keep this machine plugged in.
I also don't have an issue with the ice all melting. I use large ice cubes and there are plenty left when the coffee is done brewing.
Of course the coffee doesn't come out cold, the coffee still has to brew! You can't brew coffee quickly with cold water, it needs to be hot unless you're making cold brew, which requires much more time. The machine brews stronger coffee and then the ice cools it. Yeah it waters it down a little, but ice will melt either way. Just add more coffee.
