I like it a lot
Works well and doesn't seem flimsy in the handle to me when I've lifted it with the carafe full of water. It says to use 75 g but I find 70 works well enough for me. I also brew for a day.. I swish it around a bit whenever I open the refrigerator Just until the color evens out to get a little movement, but that probably isn't necessary maybe. 2 days and I have a full 1/2 gallon of cold brew. I find it easier to pour it into another container that way I can drink while I'm brewing the next bit and I just top off the holding container. I only use 6 to 12 oz at a time so usually I only have to brew twice a week. I did purchase it when it was on sale so I paid $25 for it, but I'd still buy it again at full. I'm satisfied.

Second, here are my notes regarding cold brew (and the Gator makes great cold brew!) For various reasons I have been drinking more coffee lately, but trying to drink it without my usual ton of sugar and ton of cream because I liked it sweet and creamy, not bitter which black coffee always seemed to me. Since summer was approaching I switched to iced coffee (create with french press, then chill and drink with ice) and discovered I still wanted a fair amount of cream but really didn't miss the sugar. That got me curious about the whole cold brew thing, did some research and for the reasons listed above, chose the Gator. Wow. All the research told me it would be lower in acidity, zero bitterness, and great flavor, but I was amazed how absolutely true all of that really was!! My first batch was just overnight, 3 spoonfuls (the included measuring spoon) of coarsely ground coffee. It was a bit light but WOW!! I could taste subtleties in coffee I have never tasted before! After several more attempts i landed on 4 spoons of beans (measuring only beans, not ground), coarsely ground, then 8-12 hours. Perfect. Rich. Super, super smooth. Flavors still pop out. Sometimes I add a little milk but many times I actually prefer it without the milk because the flavors are so interesting and complex!
To sum up, cold brew blew my mind, it is replacing my wonderful teas more often than not. And the Coffee Gator does a fantastic job at making it simply, with easy clean up and a cup of coffee with nuances of flavors you might not have ever tasted before

First, quick notes about this product, which I LOVE. It is the perfect size for the refrigerator door, makes a cold brew that has such amazing flavor, and the pitcher even pours without spilling! I'm tempted to buy another one just to use for my iced tea (cold brew style) because it can be so challenging to find a pitcher that pours without drips. I was looking for a size that would fit on the door, a type that would make the cold brew with minimal or no residue, simple to use with easy clean up, and affordable. This one hit all of those points and really well. The rubber funnel and measuring spoon are extra bonuses that i use all the time.
