Daniel Casey –
I just love how quite the grinder is. Is is very sturdy, having KitchenAid quality. Like everything about it, the controls are straight forward. The only minor thing is that the expresso mode, only adjusts to 2 shots per grind. Thus if you are going to be making expresso for 6 people, you have to hit the grind button three times not once. Would be nice if you could be able to increase the grind amount to 6 shots.

We purchased this as we have an aging Cuisinart with a broken catch cup that I have taped together. It was loud and grinds went everywhere. We originally repaced it with the touch Cuisinart grinder but it was ear drum piercing loud and just awful at grinding and making a mess. I seriously wanted to smash it with a bat because of its noise. I decided to spend a bit more and bought the KitchenAid. I unpacked it fired it up and , OH MY GOD, was it quiet. Are you kidding me, for 10 years I assumed burr grinders just sounded like power tools. Here is the kicker it leaves NO grinds on the counter. So, once again, for 10 years I assumed this was the nature of the beast to make the counter look like a coffee desert.
Now, if you grind a lot of coffee at one time(like for the week) , it is best to give it small breaks to cool down in between grinds or you will get an error for over heating. I love this machine. I recommend this.
P.S. if anything goes wrong I will edit my review .

I’ve never owned a coffee grinder before and I am a complete beginner to coffee grinding. I recently bought a top shelf coffee maker and a mid range espresso machine and I got this simply trusting amazon reviews.
I don’t have any experience to base my review off of but from what I can tell (coming from no experience tho) this ground beans very quietly (I expected this to be very loud but it wasn’t that bad) and quickly.
I literally made the BEST cup of coffee I’ve ever had in my life (drop coffee) using this grinder. I take no credit for my own skill – this is literally just an automatic coffee maker but oh my god I can never go back to pre-ground beans again. This literally turned me into a coffee snob after my FIRST use. The smell of fresh ground beans… the powerful aroma that came from fresh coffee… SO much better than just a typical cup of folgers or equivalent…
I don’t/can’t recommend this particular grinder against any other but I can tell you I certainly do not regret my purchase so far 🙂

Works great, very quiet for a grinder I got it at a reduced price, great deal!

I really like this product.

After having used another grinder that was noisy and would get clogged because of “bends” around the chute where the coffee came out, I purchased this beauty.
It’s quieter, the recipient is truly static free, and the coffee chute is straight down – no more clogging!
Highly recommended!

Originally bought the matte black and exchanged it for charcoal grey based on the photos on Amazon. The color is actually a lighter grey than I expected, and it didn’t go with my kitchen. I returned it and got the matte black again and I like really it. It looks great on my counter and is the best coffee grinder I’ve ever had (this is #3). Super quiet and makes great coffee. Changed my rating from 3 to 5 stars.

Works great!
You put your grounds, select the method and cup count desired, and wait a few seconds and you will have the right amount of coffee for the right amount of cups. Why this is a game-changer? Because you will ensure an easy way to have freshly ground coffee for the method you want and for the cups that you need, every time and in just a few seconds. If you like to grind your coffee and like to use different methods for that, this is your new best friend!
It sounds loud, not going to lie, but it’s relatively quiet if you compare it to a typical grinder. It’s less loud than a typical blender.
Its good for the price, if you do deep research on this, you’ll find that this is like a “high-end product for the middle tier of grinders”. The next one in price/quality will be the professional ones and the price distance will be considerable and not necessarily have the many options and perks this great product has.
I use it every day, at least 3 times a day and my coffee tasting is better just because now I enjoy, with no effort, the right ground size and the right amount of coffee.

If you want a trouble free coffee grinder that is quiet, quick, and easy to use, consistent grinds, with very little mess, and easy to clean, then this is it. Your coffee grinding PTSD will be eliminated. I have used less expensive grinders than this Kitchen Aid, including a $20 Kitchen Aid, that was slow, loud, and difficult to clean. This grinder can be easily set for expresso, drip, and pour over. It has a slid for grind size that can be quickly set and a fine tuning dial to set the number of cups which also controls the grind time. It even has a micro adjustment knob.
I have now used this grinder a dozen times with absolutely no problems, not even static in the grind collector cup. Cleaning is easy. The stainless steel conical burr can be removed for cleaning, but should not be rinsed. The other parts, the coffee bean holder and collector cup with lid, and bottom tray should only be hand washed. Time wise, I can grind 5 different 1 lbs batches of whole bean coffee and clean up the machine in less than 1 hour at a leisure pace.
The most tedious part of cleanup are the top and bottom conical burrs using the provided brush. If you clean the conical burrs, the removable top burr, and the bottom fixed burr, after completing your grinding, your grinder will not clog and your coffee grinds will be consistent every time you use it. I clean the conical burrs, run the machine for the equivalent of 1 to 2 cups, reclean, and repeat 3 times. This only takes a few minutes to do.
