These bags are perfect for making cold brew in a large 64 oz ball jar. They fit over the wide mouth, hold a cup of ground coffee (which is the amount I personally use for each batch), and there is no sediment–even for a fine grind). I don’t even bother tying the bags off. I just fill half my jar with cold water, insert the bag leaving some of the bag folded over the mouth, add my coffee, add the rest of the water, take a chopstick and stir it around a bit, and then use a piece of parchment to cover and secure it with an old canning ring.
