I have tried grinding this on many different setting and the difference in coarseness is minimal at best. Not sure if this is just my specific unit or the product overall. I use a french press at home and that requires a coarser grind. I set the machine to coarse at 4 cups and it came out finer than anticipated. My coffee brewed well although a bit stronger in flavor. The next day, just for experimentation purposes I decided to change it to fine. I found the grind to be almost identical. Having the coarseness feature would have been wonderful if it worked well.
When grinding, the clear plastic lid does not keep the grinds inside the pot. Coffee grinds were escaping the pot and onto the outside of the cover which made cleanup a pain. The lid needs more of a seal to keep grinds in. It is a sturdy unit and nice looking. It grinds well but the mechanics and the lid seal need to be fixed.

We had a “cheapo” coffee grinder before and it worked, so I will not say anything bad about it. However, until I received this one, I did not realize that I was missing features that are so useful. I love that you are able to know how many cups of coffee you are grinding so that you can store only what you need without the guesswork. Also, there are 3 options for grinding settings. The stainless steel matches my Keurig beautifully, so I can keep it on the countertop without it looking out of place. Overall it just looks so fancy. Very easy to use!
With the holidays fast approaching, this would make a great gift for a coffee enthusiast!

If you enjoy grinding your own coffee, this model works as well as you’d expect from a good grinder, and the machinery feels sturdy. It worked fast and well, and looks nicely elegant in the kitchen. I also tried it on coarse salt and was pleased with the results.
I especially appreciate that the stainless steel cup is detachable. My old one, like most older models, was one piece with the electric section so cleaning it required careful finesse, especially when water was used. But with this, you can just take the cup out and clean it by dunking in water.

This SHARDOR Adjustable 12 Cup Coffee Grinder Electric with 3 Grinding Settings was so awesome taking it out of its package and it was so well put together, especially with the removable stainless steel cup and the scooper that they give you in there, which was a nice touch. I love it for not only that, but we love our herbs and grinding our nuts for different desserts we make and this right here is absolutely perfect for it. It’s compactable enough to fit on the shelf just fine without being too bulky and it’s a beautiful stainless steel coffee bean grinder overall. This right here just screams a future moment for holiday cheer and I love how it grinds all of our coffee beans and as well as our dry herbs perfectly nice for what we need. This espresso side of things is even better for our imported beans that we have that certain grinders can’t handle to capacity. So this was a major plus for us. Thank you so much!

Overall, I am very happy with this coffee grinder. Aesthetically I like the brushed stainless finish and it doesn’t show fingerprints. It is easy to use, produces consistent grinds, and is easy to clean. Sure it isn’t as consistent as a burr grinder, but for my purposes I am happy with it. The adjustability for different grind settings is nice and intuitive to use. Also works well to grind spices, salt, etc. Of course a coffee grinder is never going to be a quiet machine, but this one seems exceptionally loud.

SHARDOR Adjustable 12 Cup Coffee Grinder Electric with 3 Grinding Settings came in a nice product box and with a good manual. The Grinder has both automatic and manual grinding features, grinding (coarse, medium, fine) settings, and a place to wind and hide the electrical cord not used, and the shell is fingerprint-less Stainless-steel.
There are inconsistencies in the terms used in the manual. For instance: Parts Identification label the grinder portion a Cup as do the Installation steps but later in Remove & Assemble instructions Cup is referred to as a Bowl. Inconsistent terms though do not change grinders abilities to grind a consistent grind. The cup has a tight lid, has easy to see and read measurement markings inside, and is removable from the base. Being removable is a sweet feature because the motor can remain on counter. Therefore, surprised accessory cups are not for individual sale or two did not come with product. Because the cup is removable different cups with lids could be ready and clean for different grinding needs. One for coffee the other for herbs or spices, for instance.
The Cup Adjustment & ON/OFF Switch and Thickness Adjustment Switch are silver colored plastic and seem cheesy or cheap on this reasonably priced nice grinder.

We have been using a small coffee grinder for quite some time now. The grind is not always the same as it is guesswork. When we use this new grinder there is no guesswork. We choose the grind, coarse, medium or fine. The measuring cup is marked for 2 cups up to 12 cups. We put the beans in the grinder cup and set the number of cups on the dial and push start. It automatically grinds the beans and stops itself. The grind is excellent. Very easy to clean abd comes with it’s own brush and scoop. Very reasonable pricing. We are enjoying our coffee from this item each morning. We recommend this product.
