Needed a new coffee grinder. Ordered this one for price and the silencer feature. It grinds coffee like it’s supposed too. And it does make noise but no where near what my other ones did. I wanted to give it 5 stars but instead I gave it 4 only because of the amount it can grind at one time. Wish it was slightly deeper but not a deal breaker for me. Just load it again. No biggie. Does what I need it to do.

I dried/dehydrated a batch of shallots and used this coffee grinder to make shallot powder. This grinder allows you to remove the grinding chamber – and this allowed me to take the grinder bowl to the batch of dehydrated shallots. What can I say – I didn’t spill anything as I was moving back and forth through the kitchen. The grinder was efficient and the large plastic cover serves to decrease the noise and you can’t forget to use it because that’s what serves as the on-off switch. Very nice product at a good price.
