Considerations
Before purchasing the Nespresso Vertuo Coffee and Espresso Machine, there are a couple of important factors to consider:
Brewing Adjustments
It’s important to note that the amount of espresso extracted can vary depending on the grind size and amount of coffee used. It may be necessary to reprogram the machine when adjusting these parameters to ensure the desired quantity of espresso is brewed properly.
Brewing Techniques
Proper brewing techniques are essential for optimal results. Ensure that you are using an appropriate grind size, a sufficient amount of coffee, and tamping the grounds adequately before brewing. Inadequate pressure for a proper brew can result from a too coarse grind, too little coffee, or insufficient tamping.
Conclusion
The Nespresso Vertuo Coffee and Espresso Machine by De’Longhi is a versatile and convenient option for coffee and espresso lovers. With its adjustable brew strength and automatic shut-off, it caters to individual preferences and offers added safety. Consider the brewing adjustments and techniques to get the most out of this excellent coffee and espresso machine.

Highly recommended but don’t expect this to last forever.
I bought my first one less than two years ago and it produces great coffee. Yes, it does use the vertuo pods and they are more expensive than ground coffee machines. But it’s cheaper than Starbucks and some pods taste better.
As my first machine machine neared it’s two year mark, the machine got very loud (think jet engine loud), and the turn-to-open pod dispenser knob slowly stopped working. So I needed to find a replacement.
After reading reviews of the newer units, I decided to buy this older model again. The push button style seemed problematic with some dying after a few months. The newer turn to open models seemed better but some had problems. Not sure if it’s inferior parts, poor quality or something due to supply chain issues
So I went back to the original. And love it. It’s quiet, the knob turns easily, and I swear it produces a little more coffee than my last one.
I’ll probably have to buy another one in two years, but I’m okay with that

Machine arrived bought as a Christmas present for my son and his fiancée
Saved for the day and when opened found out it was a US plug so couldn’t use without an adapter.
This should have been identified

This coffee machine is fantastic. It’s easy to use, and makes a great cup of coffee. I stayed away from the Nespresso machines for a long time due to the high price, and espresso only options. It wasn’t until the Vertuoline, that I became interested again because with this line you get coffee options as well. Man am I glad I did. The pods are a tad pricey, but it is totally worth it. The cream, the flavor, the goodness. LOL. In all seriousness, this is my 3rd “pod” type machine. I have had a Starbucks Verismo and multiple Keurig machines. The Verismo was good, however, Starbucks seemed to launch the machine with zeal, then let it die a slow death. No new machine in years, and seemed to no longer display and sell them. I was told they weren’t going to keep making them. So back to Kuerig I went. The pods are better priced, but no matter the coffee type, it always seemed to be either an inconsistent cup of coffee or a weak cup, even with espresso roasted coffee pods. Then comes the hero of our story. The Nespresso Vurtuo line of makers. I have to say, I was skeptical, and not expecting a lot from another pod machine. I was wrong. It is enjoyable, and an extremely satisfying cup of coffee, and espresso as well.
*A word about the broken machines in Reviews* All the negative reviews seem to be about build/ship quality in regards to the water tank. Mine was perfect on arrival and no cracks etc. I think that the problem is the design. Most people are used to “pulling” tasks up and off. This one is more of tilt off then up motion. So I think it might be easy to damage un-intentionally. I also think its a good idea to watch the Nespresso YouTube Channel about your specific machine. Its very well put together and informative.

I treated myself to this baby on prime day and boy was it worth it! I refuse to use Kerig’s because I think the coffee is gross. It’s like a half step up from instant, let’s be honest. But this machine makes an AMAZING cup of coffee. In less than 90 seconds. I timed it. No waiting for the machine to heat up then fussing with the pods. Just open it up, pop in a fresh one (it even disposes of the old one for you), and push a button. In a minute you have the most delicious cup of coffee with a beautiful foam on top. I drink my coffee black, but I wouldn’t suggest putting cold creamer in because I think it would lower the temp too much. So if you’re a cream/milk person, you may consider getting the milk frothed thing to maintain the heat of the beverage. Now that I’m working from home, this baby is literally what gets me out of bed in the morning.

I received this as a gift but I returned it because the unit was so big so I went with the Pixie and returned that as well as I just wasn’t impressed with the taste.

I received my Nespresso was so excited to make that first cup. I plugged it in and put pod in and hit start. No water. I repeated what seemed like 100 times. Looked up potential problems. Alot said air in the line. I blow thru mine with a straw set up I made. Still nothing. I finally called Nespresso support. I had a wonderful representative and he know exactly how to get it running. And within 10 minutes I was making coffee. The coffee pods taste so so good. Their not weak like my Kerig machine was. I love my Nespresso!!
Hope this helps someone who gets their 1st machine and runs into this problem. Don’t wait and try to figure out on your own call Nespresso!

I was introduced to Nespresso coffeemakers at an Airbnb two months ago. I appreciated the flavor and ease of use of the older machine. I did a bit of research to find the machine I felt best satisfied my wishes. I am quite happy with the machine I selected – the Vertuoline model. There are many flavors and sizes of pods to choose from, and the simplicity of the machine’s functioning is a big plus. My one grump is that the pods are a bit expensive – each brewed cup is more than a dollar, quite a bit more than my French press coffee maker.

We love our morning espressos and this would be the perfect machine but this is our third because the ball bearing inside of machine, that spins the capsules, fails every one-to-two years. We like this particular machine because it complements our kitchen. The machine starts to sound like a chain saw before finally breaks. This is a known problem with these machines if you look up on internet.
