Mel Emery –
Our household went through a rigorous taste test of all coffees over a year-long period. Hola came out the winner. It’s smooth, no acidity, and very delicious.

OK, I love good very dark roast coffee brewed *strong* with a ton of sweet creamer in it. Basically a hot milkshake. My morning joe for 50 years. So roast me. But that creamer is horrible for you and I’m trying to honor my health duties and the pleasing skinniness of my ancient body, so I decided to try a light coffee and cut the creamer way back. I like Kicking Horse coffee, so paid too much for 10 little oz of Hola.
Surprise! It’s very delicious even with less than half my usual creamer. I could drink it black I think (that’s saying a lot for me) – really smooth and kind of white chocolatey, it has a natural sweetness and really lots of body. It has nuances. I mean, it’s a different beast altogether, but I’ll make the trade – just come on, make it a pound, guys.
Obviously you shouldn’t trust my coffee palate but I love this stuff. Oh – if you live alone or want to make single DO try the Clever Cup brewer – it’s big enough for a humongous mug, gets great reviews from coffee nerds, is super cheap, really easy, takes almost no space, and brews wonderfully.
Sandy Penny –
I like it, but I don’t love it. It’s a little more acidic than I thought it would be. I will try another of their coffee products because I like organic fair trade products. Three Sisters sounds good. It’s next on my list.
Poor quality/ broken –
Hard for me to find coffee I like. Usually too weak and when it says dark roast, it’s more medium roast. This is for sure dark roast! I like black coffee, annd usually drink it quick and need to add some milk to drink it.

Very good coffee, one of the best I tasted.
David Key –
I take my coffee black in the morning, this is a nice light roast, but still doesn’t taste watered down. I just make it in a drip machine, so nothing fancy here.
C B Huebner –
This coffee was “good” but I didn’t find it “great”. I prefer a richer flavor and this was not, in my opinion, a rich full flavor.
Robin Chambers –
So nice, rich dark roast flavour……..the best! Highly recommended
Amazon Customer –
I do not like coffee. I never have. Not even with tons of sugar and cream. I have learned that if I am that exhausted, and I must drink it for energy, that cold brew makes the best cup for me. It is smooth and not hot.
Even with cold brew, I still did prefer to drink coffee. I was doing research because the coffee that I could tolerate was a medium roast, but I learned that light roast has slightly more caffeine. So I could drink less right?
I stumbled upon Kicking Horse read some reviews on the taste and decided to try it. My first cup was yesterday. I sweetened with brown sugar, added vanilla extract and a bit of whole milk. My first sip was surprisingly good! No bitterness and not acid at all. I thought maybe it was a fluke so I used less sugar this morning and less milk and it still tasted good!!!!
I think I have found a coffee that I may actually like to drink!
Beth Kurtz –
I love coffee, good coffee! Not burned beans coffee.
This brand (check out the different choices) is really REALLY GOOD!!! The flavor is great and my creamer using husband drinks it without cream!!
Matthew Cord –
It’s good, not amazing. But for the price there are many better options. This is no better than the Seattles Best blends – but much more expensive
Amazon Customer –
When I received a bag of this coffee from a friend and brewed it, I knew I had my favorite brand and blend. It’s a bold and full experience for your mouth without being acidic and without that awful burnt flavor.
Worth putting on a continuous order so I don’t run out!
Amazon Customer –
It is a good medium coffee for a drip maker, fairly smooth.
