My Bodum Bistro is still going strong at 12 years and daily use (mainly, Aero Press, drip, and Moka). The burrs were feeling dull, which made me think maybe it was time to consider a new and different grinder – then I found this replacement part for the burrs. Very sharp and has breathed new life into the grinder! It is faster and grinds are more uniform. Maybe 12 more years?

It’s good to have delicious, flavorful coffee again! This is a simple to install replacement part. Our morning coffee was becoming weaker and less flavorful. I had begun to double the grind time, using more and more beans, but our favorite coffee was still missing flavor and fullness. After some research I decided that the burr blades must be dull. The grinds had small clumps – easy to break apart – but this indicated that the beans were getting smashed together rather than cut by the blades. I ordered this replacement part – the outer burr blade. It arrived the next day. To replace all I had to do was twist the hopper counter clockwise to take it off, lift out the dull old blade and drop the new one in its place. Put the hopper back on and you are in business. I typically call a handyman for everything but this I did myself and it took about 10 seconds. I only missed one day of coffee waiting for the part to arrive. The new blades make a HUGE difference! The burr grinder works as if it’s brand new. This easy replacement made such a difference in the quality of our coffee. We love our Bodum burr grinder. Our coffee is once again consistently good. Highly recommend!

Pièce de rechange d’excellente qualité qui permet de récupérer votre bodum. Avant le remplacement, l’appareil tournait dans le vide avec pratiquement aucune graine moulue. En remplaçant seulement la meule amovible, j’ai l’impression maintenant d’avoir un appareil neuf. Après environ 10 ans de service, l’ancienne meule était vraiment émoussée car il m’est arrivé à quelques reprises de moudre de petites roches parmi les graines de café, jusqu’au point où le moteur s’était arrêté de tourner.

Passt sehr gut. Am Anfang hat sich die Fräse beim Mahlen des Kaffees manchmal hoch gedrückt und ich musste den Kaffee ausschütten und die Fräse wieder fest drücken. Jetzt funktioniert es.

I bought this to see if it could save my bodum burr grinder that I’ve had for years. It had started grinding slowly and too coarse. I thought it was a lost cause but decided to try one last thing before I bought an entirely new grinder… Spoiler alert- this replacement made it grind just like when it was new!

Same beans, same grind setting:
Before: 20 Seconds = 14 grams of ground coffee
After: 20 Seconds = 39 grams of ground coffee
This was 100% worth the expense, and saved me from dropping $100+ on a new grinder!
(No, the Bodum grinder isn’t good for espresso, but for pour-overs, it’s great!)
