I love iced coffee when it’s hot outside or as a little afternoon treat. Since I do not care for those major coffee chains and prefer my own coffee, I needed a better way to brew other than a French Press. Enter the 1 gallon cold brew coffeemaker! I love that it has such a fine mesh, I can use my favorite coffee which happens to come in espresso grind only. I put my coffee in the mesh sieve, filled the jar with water and let it sit on the counter for 12 hours. Then remove the mesh sieve and store the coffee in the refrigerator. It does have some very minor leakage in the spout after you fill a cup. A little bit of paper towel twisted and stuck in the spout will wick that right up so you don’t end up with coffee all over the refrigerator That is a common problem with this type of spout. For me, that is a very minor flaw and one that I know is difficult to overcome by a manufacturer.
I am so glad I took a chance and ordered this iced coffee maker!

I use the product exclusively to make sun tea. It is perfect for that purpose. The only reason I took a star was the lid is hard to get on straight.

I really like the container, it is everything the mfr says of it. I use it to make sun tea and use the mesh insert to hold the tea bag to keep grounds out for clean tea. Being glass, there is never any plastic taste
The one flaw…..I put the lid on a bit crooked and now I can’t get it off. I am ordering a replacement while I sort this out, it is that useful, especially the spigot. No more lifting a full container, just use the spigot
Although not the intended purpose, it seems like you could get big bottles of beer and fill the container up. Same for hard booze?

The glass is nice and thick and the gift cup is very good quality too. The little blackboard helps keep track of what and when it’s been brewed. The lid is a little difficult to open and a little too thin. I put a large rubber band on the lid to open easier. The filter came a little warped, but functional and can be difficult to clean. When full it can be a little heavy and awkward to place in the fridge. A handle would make that easier which is why 4 stars and not 5. Should be noted it takes a lot of coffee to make a good brew but definitely worth it. It was really nice having cold coffee on hand during those hot summer days. Debating getting a second for cold brew tea as well.

Confession: I drink entirely too much coffee. I suck down cold coffee like I suck down…well, nevermind. After a year of brewing a pot of coffee at a time and leaving it in the fridge to cool, I realized I had to upgrade my system. And I had to do it in a bigger way as I needed access to more coffee when I wanted it. Enter this device. Easy to make lots of coffee. Easy to clean. Does drip a bit but only immediately after use, much like turning off a faucet. This has been in constant use since I received it and I think it was well worth the investment.

Lid rusts after a few uses. This product should come with a plastic lid. You can scrap rust with the green side of a sponge and then dry it really well and use olive oil or vegetable oil to coat the inside a bit but not a good fix. Again should come with a plastic lid.

I love making cold coffee we use it every other day to make a batch of cold coffee but I was wondering where we can get another cover as this one I’m using is rusted so I now have to put plastic wrap between the lid cover and jar

This product was well packaged and is high quality. I use this for iced green tea. It is nice to be able to make enough for 6-7 days, rather than every 2-3 as with my other method. I have had similar jugs before with plastic spigots and they invariably start to leak after a while. Glad this was true stainless steel. Very happy with my purchase.

Like the overall quality and design, my only problem is like many others the filter has come with the top ring broken off, which means the filter doesn’t stay lifted off the bottom of the jar, only solution we’ve had is to bend the inside of the ring to hold onto the filter not impressed with this sort of money.
