My daughter threw a Moka Party for her friends at the private liberal arts college she attends — apparently it’s a “thing” with young people. This was the coffee she served. Mark Wahlberg went crazy for it. She had to make him his own pot, which he proceeded to spill all over her lovely student sofa. So, good AND bad.

Ottimo per la moka, prezzo un pochino caro

The only thing that I don’t like about this product is that it’s a bit more expensive than it should be. About the quality and taste, just wonderful!

It’s pretty decent espresso. It doesn’t give me the shakes quite like I would prefer, so I’ll probably try the intenso kind next and see how it works. I kid, I kid. This is fine. It’s good quality espresso and it’s a good value for the price. I have a moka pot, which I’m still figuring out. I don’t feel fancy enough to be buying espresso, but here we are. It’s good. If you really want the caffeine shakes though, go with the intenso kind by this same brand. This one gives you the tingles, but not the shakes.

Illy coffee is my all time favourite and this ground is perfect for your moka pot. Make sure you open it carefully as it is and it is under pressure.
The appearance itself is very pleasing and looks the tins are very professional. Not to mention the realisability in the future for other purposes:-)
I love the smell of the freshly brewed coffee in the morning and unlike the Nespresso capsules, I dont feel bloated! It is reasonably priced when it is on offer.

I have made, purchased and consumed nearly every type of coffee out there and the Illy Classico Medium Roast is by far my new favorite. I’ll choose this for my French Press over my very expensive brewing system with its very expensive capsules any day. Not only is the flavor robust and smooth, there is no bitterness regardless of how strong I make it. I first had this while in London (a delicious cappuccino) and now it’s the only coffee I have been purchasing for the last four months. I was pleasantly surprised to find it on Amazon for less than my local grocery and of course today it’s on sale for Prime Day so I ordered two! (Would have ordered more but my budget has limits!) I make this in my French Press every two days – the first cup is enjoyed hot with just a tiny touch of honey and the rest is placed in the fridge for my iced coffee. Did I mention this makes THE BEST iced coffee? Highly highly recommend!!

Being an avid coffee enthusiast, I’ve sampled a myriad of brands and blends over the years. But when I brewed my first cup of Illy Classico Espresso Ground Coffee, I knew I had stumbled upon something truly special.
Opening the package, I was immediately greeted with a rich and inviting aroma. It hinted at the depth of flavors that awaited, and I was not disappointed. As the coffee brewed, my kitchen was filled with a scent that was both comforting and invigorating.
Taking that first sip was a revelation. The medium roast showcased a harmonious balance of flavors. The notes of chocolate were distinct but not overpowering, blending seamlessly with the subtle hints of caramel. It was a taste profile that was both complex and smooth, making each sip a delightful experience.
What truly stood out for me was the richness of the coffee. It was evident that this was 100% Arabica, with no fillers or additives. The absence of preservatives ensured that the coffee’s natural flavors shone through, making for a pure and authentic coffee experience.
The 8.8-ounce packaging is perfect, ensuring that the coffee remains fresh and retains its flavor profile. The seal is robust, and I’ve found that even after opening, the coffee stays fresh for weeks.
Brewing it as an espresso shot or a regular cup, the Illy Classico Espresso Ground Coffee consistently delivers. It’s become my go-to morning ritual and an afternoon pick-me-up. It’s not just a beverage; it’s a moment of indulgence, a mini escape in the midst of a hectic day.
In conclusion, the Illy Classico Espresso Ground Coffee is more than just coffee; it’s an experience. It’s a journey through flavors, a celebration of the art of coffee-making. For those seeking a coffee that’s both robust and refined, this blend is a must-try. It promises a cup that’s as invigorating as it is flavorful, making every morning a little brighter and every break a tad more enjoyable. Dive into a world where coffee is both an art and a pleasure!

Great tasting coffee for the moka pot.

I normally get Lavazza, but Amazon’s algorithm brought this to my attention. The flavor is very strong compared to my normal stuff and it certainly had a kick to it. All in all I was impressed, but decided it wasn’t for me, it’s just too strong for my palette. I’ll finish what I have and go back to my usual.

I enjoy this coffee very much in my 6-cup (medium) Bialetti Venus moka espresso pot. Maybe I sacrifice a bit of flavor because it’s pre-ground but it’s just too convenient to pass up. I actually prefer the flavor of this coffee to the coffee from Bialetti for moka espresso pots.
One mistake I always made with my older moka espresso pot is that I always thought you had to completely fill the grounds holder (I’m sure every video I ever watched on this had the person filling it so I don’t blame myself too much). Don’t fill the grounds holder to the top – that’s way too much ground coffee to brew a good cup of coffee. Because the result was too bitter and strong, I never used my old espresso pot that much. I fill the holder halfway (11g of grounds) and the result is perfect. Keep in mind that this solution is TOTALLY based on my variables. You would have to experiment if you wanted to copy this “technique”. And keep in mind…the goal with the moka espresso pot is to brew good coffee, not good espresso. Espresso can only be made with a pressurized coffee maker.
