It comes with a small brush to clean it with. But, if you ground something that becomes wet, it is hard to clean around and under the blade. You could spray water into the cup. But, it is an electric device, so eventually, the water might make its way inside and damage it. Otherwise, works great.

I’ve tried 3 different buzz grinders, this one is by far the best. Just great in every way except one – the rubber ring that goes around the clear cap falls off too easily and too often. I emailed customer support and was told a replacement rubber ring is not available, but if I’d give my address, they would send a new grinder. But they did not do so. After a while, I decided to apply one drop of super glue to the rubber ring, and now it does not fall off any more. OTHER THAN THE RUBBER RING FALLING OFF, this is a superb, excellent grinder – it grinds so fast and so thoroughly you have to make sure not to over-grind your beans. But since you can easily see the grounds through the clear cap, it’s easy to use. Love it.

I mainly intended to use this only for grinding herbs. My mortars & pestles have worked great but I am now getting arthritic and need the help of a grinder like this! BUT, I ended up with a bag of old/expired coffee beans, I hate throwing away foods (especially expensive stuff), so I decided to try making exfoliating coffee body scrub. I needed to get a very finely grained grind because of my super dry, delicate skin. This little grinder did the job – after a bit of “grind/shake/grind/(repeat)” I ended up with a fine-grit powder which works GREAT, even for my face! The grinder is NOT unreasonably noisy and cleanup is a snap! Make sure the “pollen catcher” lid is fully in place if you’re going for a fine powder, like I made from the coffee beans, and let the powder settle a bit before popping it open. I hope that this little machine lasts for a very long time because I love it and I’ll be heartbroken if it doesn’t…
